Foundation backed for Derby glory ahead of Doncaster test

| 23.10.2015

Foundation is 10-1 (from 14-1) favourite with Coral for next year’s Investec Derby, following support for the unbeaten colt ahead of his run in tomorrow’s Racing Post Trophy. Two additions to the ante-post list for the Epsom Classic today are Midterm and Royal Artillery, both earning 25-1 quotes following their respective debut wins at Newbury and Doncaster.

“Foundation has attracted the bulk of the money bet on the Racing Post Trophy this week, and now he’s being backed to not just triumph at Doncaster, but to go on to Classic glory next summer as well,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Switching codes, this afternoon’s Cheltenham winner Penglai Pavilion is 20-1 with Coral for the Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle, while My Tent Or Yours is 14-1 (from 20-1) for the Champion Hurdle, after the 8-y-o was the subject of a positive bulletin from from rider Barry Geraghty.

“Faugheen is a red-hot favourite to retain his Champion Hurdle crown, but following Barry Geraghty’s words of confidence in My Tent Or Yours, punters have latched on to the 2014 big race runner-up,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
