Spurs’ strong form set to continue

Just two defeats in 12 tussles across all competitions mean Mauricio Pochettino’s men are in good form, and currently unbeaten in four.

Though, as Spurs have ended evenly in all three of their past encounters with Anderlecht in normal time, and also drawn all three of their last games, a splitting of the spoils could prove value at 9/4.

Back in the days when this continental competition was called the UEFA Cup, the Londoners required penalties to best the Purple and White Belgians in a thrilling two-legged final format. However, in the present day, Tottenham should be too much for their hosts to handle.

Belgian backline belligerence

Centre half stars Alderweireld and Vertonghen, who were both reared by Germinal Beerschot before taking their talents to Ajex’s academy, have been outstanding so far this season. The pair have proven a brilliant combination and, as the capital club have conceded just 10 goals across all competitions, are tempting at 3/1 to help Spurs win to nil in this Brussels battle.

As for scorer shouts, Danish dangerman Christian Eriksen has proven a goal hero again of late, recently bagging a brace to save Spurs a point against Swansea City. The midfield schemer is 6/1 to strike first against Anderlecht, or also tempting at 7/4 in the anytime market.

Hitman Harry Kane is an 11/2 shot to have the final say, while Argentine attacker Erik Lamela has been lethal in Europe, with two in as many outings so far, so makes it sense to back at 7/2 to net anytime.

Anderlecht excitement

There are some intriguing talents flourishing among the minnows, however, with striker Stefano Okaka the main goal threat. The Italy cap has notched five in as many of his previous games, so is 7/4 to be on target again anytime. While, apparent Arsenal target Youri Tielemans and highly-rated Dennis Praet are 5/1 and 10/3 in the same market respectively.
