Coral price-up five Premier League coaches who could be next to leave

Last weekend saw two shock early exits from Premier League dugouts, as Dick Advocaat handed in his resignation at Sunderland and was swiftly followed through the revolving door by Brendan Rodgers, who was abruptly given the boot by Liverpool.

After a bizarre post-match rant, Jose Mourinho also looked like a potential candidate for the chop at troubled Chelsea, and now the Blues board have given their boss the dreaded vote of confidence.

In an official statement, Chelsea said of Mourinho: “The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support.

“As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team’s performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it.”

So, while others focus on future managerial arrivals in England, Coral experts question who could be the next coach to leave….

Jose Mourinho – 4/1
Britain Soccer Premier League
As mentioned above, despite denying he would walk out on Premier League champions Chelsea, ‘The Special One’ is certainly a flight-risk.

Having parted ways with the Blues before it could happen again, with the capital club in dire form and sitting 16th in the Premier League.

Trigger-happy owner Roman Abramovich has fired men for far less and Mourinho has never spent more than three seasons in the same hotseat, but is ominously embarking on his third from this second stint in London.

Tim Sherwood – 6/1
Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Aston Villa v Stoke City - Villa Park
After a recent loss to Stoke City, Sherwood, once seen as Aston Villa’s saviour, has quickly gone from hero to Villan.

Speaking as Villa were left languishing in the relegation zone, Sherwood said: “I am the manager and I take responsibility for the performances. But it’s the same Tim Sherwood they were singing the name of last season. I am not working any less hard now.

“I can turn it around. I know I can – and I will.” Famous last words?

Ronald Koeman – 16/1
Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Sunderland v Southampton - Stadium of Light
Perhaps one coach on this list who could leave for a bigger challenge, Dutch coach Koeman may have done so well with Southampton that his country could come calling.

Should the Netherlands fail to beat Kazakhstan next time out in Euro 2016 qualifying, the France finals dream may be well and truly over, with interim boss Danny Blind unlikely to retain his post permanently.

Clockwork Orange could need rebuilding in the near future, and who else would be a superior pick to attempt to better Louis van Gaal’s excellent achievements than his bitter rival?

Steve McClaren – 5/6
Britain Soccer Premier League
McClaren is obvious odds-on favourite to be next to clear his desk, after a dreadful start in Newcastle United’s dugout.

Bottom of the Premier League and without a victory so far, the ex-England manager’s Magpies stats look damning, as two upcoming crunch clashes versus Norwich City and fellow Northeast strugglers Sunderland could be decisive.

Mark Hughes – 50/1
Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Aston Villa v Stoke City - Villa Park
Perhaps an outside shout, but these 50/1 odds for Hughes to depart the Britannia Stadium are generous. Despite investing heavily this summer, Stoke have been severely underwhelming, though there has been a turn around of late.

Should the Potters slump again, however, former Chelsea and Manchester United marksman Hughes could find himself hitting the headlines.
