Bookies slash the odds on One Direction splitting for good

One Direction sent the rumour mill into overdrive last night after they cancelled a gig in Belfast at the last minute, sparking a gamble on the band never getting back together according to bookmaker Coral. The boy band are set to take a break next year and although they have vowed to get back together after the rest, Coral has slashed the odds on them never reuniting to 6-1 from 10-1.

It was reported that the gig was cancelled due to Liam Payne falling ill, but Coral are sceptical of the reason, quoting odds of 1-2 that the group cancel more concerts before the tour comes to an end.

“As far as we are concerned, there’s trouble in paradise for One Direction. With a last minute sickie and a no show from the other boys, it seems the band is in turmoil and punters believe the break will be permanent,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
