  • Gavin McDonnell in best shape of his life after winning super-bantamweight title
  • Chrus Eubank Jr comes into his next fight after stopping Dmitry Chudinov
  • McDonnell won his last bout in Sheffield earlier this year

McDonnell and Eubank Jr 4/1 to win by knockout

In an exciting Saturday fight night at the Sheffield Arena, rising middleweight star Chris Eubank Jr will make his Sky Sports debut against American Tony Jeter, while Gavin McDonnell defends his Europan super-bantamweight title. Coral’s bet of the day is a tasty 4/1 on both McDonnell and Eubank Jr to win by knockout or TKO!

McDonnell a menace to Parodi

Doncaster’s defending European super-bantamweight champion McDonnell has risen to prominence of late, having overcome Ukrainian Alexander Egorov in March this year to clinch his current belt in Sheffield.

The undefeated British talent will aim to successfully defend that strap on his return to Sheffield, where he holds recent fond memories, and possesses enough firepower to down next competitor Jeremy Pardoi.

With no defeats so far and four victories via stoppage, McDonnell is the huge odds-on 1/4 favourite to triumph once again, as he looks towards bigger and better fights, including a shot at a world title in the near future.

All eyes on Eubank Jr

Having bounced back from a narrow split decision defeat to Billy Joe Saunders in his recent bout, stopping Russian competitor Dmitry Chudinov in the 12th-round, Eubank Jr is continuing his rise up the division ladder.

Lifting the interim WBA middleweight strap with that late stoppage victory last time out, the Brighton-born fighter secured his 14th professional KO and will be out to put on a show with another spark-out in Yorkshire this weekend.

The focus of Saturday night’s bouts will be on Eubank Jr, after recently signing with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Promotions, and he will be out to entertain the crowd with another stoppage against a relatively unknown opponent bearing from the United States.

Trained by experienced coach Adam Booth, Eubank Jr should prove to be too strong for his latest ring counterpart, in what is seen as a warm-up fight, and is the massive odds-on 1/100 favourite for victory, before taking on Irishman Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan in their scheduled December contest.
