Coral have rolled out the red carpet for customers upon the return of the Champions League, with a selection of superb value winner and top scorer doubles on offer.

So, punters, nail your colours to the mast and pick a team and a poacher both to triumph. Fancy Real Madrid to reclaim their crown from Barcelona with Cristiano Ronaldo grabbing the most goals? Or prefer to take your chances on an exciting outsider?

Here are our terrific top three picks…

Lionel Messi & Barcelona (7/1)
Spain Soccer Champions League
This is an incredibly generous price for both the Champions League holders to retain and the tournament’s all-time leading scorer to top the charts yet again.

As joint-top marksman last season with 10, majestic Messi is looking to grab the most goals for what would be a sensational sixth time.

Customers don’t need telling twice about the diminutive dangerman’s prowess in front of net, as the electric Argentine, a once-in-a-generation talent, has so far notched 77 from 99 outings in Europe’s most prestigious club competition. Not bad, eh?

As for the Catalan club, it was evident last campaign that they have moved away from over-reliance on talisman Messi, with Neymar and Luis Suarez also scoring their fair share. The treble-winners are showing no signs of slowing either, having already claimed the UEFA Super Cup and taken a two point La Liga lead.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid (12/1)
Soccer - UEFA Champions League - Semi Final - Second Leg - Real Madrid v Juventus - Santiago Bernabeu
An obvious choice perhaps but, with excellent odds like these, plumping for Real and Ronaldo looks too good to pass up. The Champions League trophy has been lifted by Spanish clubs five times in the last 10 tournaments, and the prestigious prize again looks set to stay in Iberian hands.

Madrid and Ronaldo are never more dangerous than when wounded so, make no mistake, failing to successfully follow-up La Decima will have wounded the giants and nothing less than revenge will suffice.

As for lethal Ronaldo, ending jointly with rivals Messi and Neymar last season simply won’t do again, as the prolific Portuguese seeks a fourth consecutive top scorer crown. The superstar has the same Champions League haul as his attacking Argentine foe but falls behind having made more appearances, a situation Ronaldo will want surely want to rectify.

Thomas Muller and Bayern Munich (66/1)
Soccer - 2015 Audi Cup - Bayern Munich v Real Madrid - Allianz Arena
A huge profit is potentially up for grabs here if you back the German giants and goal machine Muller both to get the glory.

Bavarian juggernauts Bayern have featured in three of the last six finals, and the chips are down this season with serial-winner Pep Guardiola yet to guide his side to the ultimate club prize. Having strengthened significantly in the summer window, with Douglas Costa and Arturo Vidal added to a squad already blessed with an embarrassment of riches, the Munich men will be the biggest threat to the Spaniard’s stranglehold.

As for menace Muller, who has six from four Bundesliga fixtures this term, he simply loves scoring in cups, and struck seven in 10 Champions League matches last term. Teammate and potent Polish international Robert Lewandowski might be the shorter price at 33/1, but sneaky Muller may prove the better bet having out-scored his clubmate in this competition last campaign.
