Super League: Hull FC host Catalans in Super 8s clash

Hull FC are odds-on at 8/13 with Coral to pile more misery on Catalans Dragons after the French outfit were hammered 48-6 by Warrington last time out, while new customers can get odds of 7/1 on Hull winning.

“Whatever we are doing today, Tuesday and Wednesday, it needs to be of the highest order to beat Catalans,” Hull coach Lee Radford said.

“It is a massive week for the club with it being our heritage week.

“I’m not sure whether we have any blokes coming back for the match yet, but I’d love to have a couple more back.

“Jordan Rankin was outstanding on Friday. Every time we got him on the edge he created something from nothing.

“He’s signing off on the right note, and I think Mickey Paea is doing that as well. That’s a credit to those two blokes.”

Radford was less than impressed with an official last time out and will be hoping his side get the rub of the green this time around. “Who’s the touch judge on that side, do you know?” Radford said after the match talking about Aaron Murphy’s offload which the home crowd adjudged to be forward after it led to Jake Connor’s try to change the momentum of the match.

“Give that man an MBE, he deserves one because that’s a good four or five metres forward. He’s level with it as well.

“In my eyes that’s blatant cheating, but he’ll have a game next week I’m sure.

“It was a big turning point. There’s no point in saying anything else because it will cost me some cash, but you’ve got to be better than that, unfortunately, whatever your name is.”

Rankin is 12/1 to cross the whitewash first, while the club’s impressive crop of youngsters will also be eager to continue their fine performances of recent weeks. Jack Logan, Brad Fash are evens and 4/1 in the anytime market.

Stanislas Robin was the Dragons’ only scorer last time out and he is 3/1 to cross again anytime while Morgan Escare is odds-on at 8/11 in the same market.
