New Coral punters get tasty 10/1 on Barca beating Roma with Messi scoring

| 14.09.2015

To celebrate the start of the Champions League group stage for this season, we have a fantastic new customer offer, featuring Barcelona to beat Roma and Lionel Messi to score anytime at a terrific 10/1 price, and you must stake £5. However, should this outcome not occur, customers will still get £20 in free bets!

There is no doubt, following his winning strike last time out against Atletico Madrid in La Liga, that Messi will mark his 100th Champions League appearance with a goal. He is heavily odds-on at 8/13 to score anytime, with Barcelona, who won the competition convincingly last season, also odds-on at 4/6 to win.

Messi scored 10 goals in 13 appearances last season in the Champions League and is highly likely to be devastating form again having notched in the club’s first away game during last term’s competition.

Barca have won every league match this campaign and look favourable to continue their run in Italy. Their last match against Italian opposition was the Champions League final when they made light work of Juventus in a 3-1 victory.

The 28-year-old, meanwhile, has scored a staggering 77 goals in the Champions League since his debut in the 2004/05 season and looks well placed to take that tally well past 100 before he retires.

Barca club president Josep Maria Bartomeu recently said of awesome Argentine attacker Messi: “Life with Leo is prettier, of another colour. The work done this summer will allow us to fight for all the trophies. We’ve started well but we still need to work hard.”

Meanwhile, fellow Nou Camp attacker and teammate Neymar added: “Everything is better with him [Messi] on the pitch… he always makes the difference.”

There is no doubt that magical Messi can make the difference against Roma, with the Catalan club more than capable of pulling off a win with Messi scoring.
