Henri Lansbury to atone for penalty miss as Forest tackle Terriers

Nottingham Forest have lost their last two meetings with Huddersfield Town to nil, but won the previous four with captain Henri Lansbury scoring in three of those.

Coral thus make the midfielder a tasty 10/3 to put his penalty miss against Middlesbrough behind him by netting anytime in West Yorkshire.

A poor spot-kick from their skipper cost Dougie Freedman’s side a draw when facing pre-season Championship promotion favourites Boro, and checked their momentum, but Lansbury has the perfect opportunity to address his shortcomings from 12 yards with a fixture he clearly relishes.

Goals on multiple occasions against the Terriers from Lansbury, who in the continued absence of injured Forest stars Britt Assombalonga, Chris Cohen and Andy Reid is their key player, mean all will be forgiven if he can lead by example and get a favourable result.

The Tricky Trees are 2/1 to come away from Huddersfield with all three points, but Chris Powell’s team impressively brushed aside Bolton Wanderers 4-1 at home last time out to move behind East Midlands outfit Forest in the table.

With two wins on the spin coming into this fixture, the Terriers are narrow 11/8 favourites for a third successive victory both in current league action and over their opponents. A draw, meanwhile, is priced at 23/10.

While the Tricky Trees have Lansbury looking to atone, another midfielder to watch here is Emyr Huws for home side Huddersfield. Three goals in his last two games from the Wigan Athletic loanee will have given Wales national coach Chris Coleman a timely reminder of his talent.

Hotshot Huws is thus 3/1 to continue his purple patch with another goal anytime. The Terriers also have three former Forest players in their ranks ready to come back and haunt them in one way or another.

Two are in defence, with Joel Lynch (another Wales international) and Elliott Ward 11/5 to help Huddersfield keep a clean sheet, or 10/3 towards a win to nil. Lynch also scored last time out, but is a long shot to repeat that at 9/1.

Ex-Tricky Tees target man Ishmael Miller, meanwhile, occupies defenders and thus acts as a foil for the supporting Terriers cast, which includes Middlesbrough loanee Mustapha Carayol, who has two in as many starts against Forest. The Gambian winger is 10/3 to net again anytime.

Coral’s top tip: Lansbury is the man to back in this fixture, though, at 10/3 to find the target.
