Republic of Ireland v Georgia
Martin O’Neil’s side are heavily odds-on at 8/15 to beat Georgia in the usual matchday markets, following their comprehensive 4-0 victory over Gibraltar and as well as this, were successful in the reverse fixture last year, with a brace from Aiden McGeady. The duo are both 6/5 in the anytime market. Low’s side also beat Scotland in the reverse match and look good value to do so again.
Albania v Portugal
Group I leaders Portugal go into this match odds-on favourites at 4/5 and with the untouchable Cristiano Ronaldo up front, goals from the visitors can be more than expected. Rising star Danilo Pereira is expected to start, and the midfielder who moved to Porto in the summer said: “Everything is happening very fast, but it has been a positive change in my life.
“I’m seizing the moment, because that is the only way I can grow as a player. This is the way for me. I want to be at the EURO and I will work for that. I have my own qualities as a player, different from others, and I feel that I am a valid option.”
