Chiefs, Patriots Favoured in NFL Week 2 Betting at Coral

Kansas City Chiefs will be looking to end a six-game losing streak against Denver Broncos when they hit the gridiron on Thursday night as three-point favourites in NFL betting at Coral.

The Chiefs, winners of six games on home turf last season, have particularly struggled in home dates against the division rival Broncos, posting SU losses in each of their past four, with their last home win against Denver coming almost five years ago.

Kansas City has claimed SU and ATS wins in three of their last four overall, including a 27-20 victory on the road against the Houston Texans in Week 1, covering as one-point favourites. While the Broncos are a middling 3-3 SU and ATS in their past six road contests, and just 2-3 SU and ATS in their past five as road underdogs.

The New England Patriots will seek to continue their climb up the Super Bowl 50 odds at Coral when they travel to Buffalo on Sunday to take on the Bills as slim 0.5-point favourites.

With quarterback Tom Brady back at the helm, the Patriots kicked off their 2015 NFL campaign with a 28-21 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, fuelling their rise in Super Bowl outrights betting to their current 7/1 odds.

However, the Patriots must face a much-improved Bills squad that dominated the offensive powerhouse Indianapolis Colts in a 27-14 Week 1 victory, and looks ready to build their drive back to the NFL playoffs on an elite defense that ranked fourth in the league last season, and forced the point total UNDER in 14 or their last 17 contests.

Following a disappointing 26-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons last weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles return home for a crucial matchup with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, pegged as four-point favourites..

The Eagles are currently enduring a two-game home losing streak, and are on a 4-1 SU and ATS run that resulted in them missing last year’s post-season, while handing the Cowboys the NFC East division crown.

But following key off-season player acquisitions, including the free agent signing of rusher Demarco Murray, who earned NFL Offensive Player of the Year honours last season as a member of the Cowboys, Philly has surpassed Dallas in Super Bowl betting at Coral, with 14/1 odds, and are perched as 11/10 favourites to lead the NFC East in 2015.

Dallas took a 27-26 decision from the New York Giants in Week 1, but lost star receiver Dez Bryant to a broken foot that will sideline him for up to eight weeks. But the Cowboys have enjoyed recent success in road games against the Eagles, picking up wins in their last three visits to Philadelphia, and going 6-2 SU, 5-3 ATS, in their last eight.

In other NFL Week 2 action, the Green Bay Packers will be looking to avenge their loss in last season’s NFC Conference Championship when they welcome the Seattle Seahawks to Lambeau Field as 3.5-point favourites. The Steelers, meanwhile, will try to rebound from their loss to New England when they take on the San Francisco 49ers as five-point favourites.

Rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota will have a chance to duplicate his stunning performance in his NFL debut last weekend when he leads the Tennessee Titans into Cleveland to take on the Browns as 1.5-point favourites. The Colts will be gunning for their first win of the 2015 campaign when they clash with the New York Jets on Monday Night Football as six-point favourites.

Coral betting tip: New England Patriots are great shouts at 7/1 to defend the Super Bowl title in the 50th edition of the competition.
