Tottenham tasked with win against Everton in Premier League

Tottenham have won the last two meetings against Everton at White Hart Lane and are therefore odds-on at 10/11 with Coral to keep that run going.

Last season, in a 2-1 victory, Christian Eriksen equalised, though is 6/1 to break the deadlock this time, while Kevin Mirallas who struck the opener for Everton is 7/1 to do so again.

Striker Harry Kane dispatched in the 1-0 away win at Goodison Park, though he is yet to find the net in the Premier League this term, so is 4/1 to open the scoring this time around.

Having not won a match this term, Spurs will be looking to put that right against an Everton side who have, on balance performed well so far.

Despite needing extra time to dispose of Barnsley 5-3 in the Capital One Cup last time out, they were unlucky to lose against a top class Manchester City previously, though prior to this had recorded a 3-0 win away against Southampton.

Romelu Lukaku looks up for the fight this campaign, after going AWOL at times last season. Having bagged a brace on the south coast, he was a constant threat against City, while he was at the double in midweek again at Oakwell.

To dispatch two or more against an unconvincing Spurs defence, he is 7/1 and 5/1 to break the deadlock. Ross Barkley is another who has started the season as though he means business, with two in three league matches and the midfielder is therefore outstanding odds at 7/2 to be on target anytime again.

Manager Roberto Martinez has said he will play defender John Stones, who has had a transfer request turned down in the run-up to the match, following constant interest from Chelsea.

“[John] Stones will be ready [to play against Spurs] because he is in the perfect environment,” said Martinez.

“It’s been an emotional time for everyone but [John] is one of our most loved assets and he’ll be ready. The chairman was really strong yesterday, he’s put things very, very clear.”

Coral’s top tip: Lukaku to score two or more @ 7/1
