SPORTSBOOK ODDS

The Premier League boasts some fantastic Saturday 3pm kick-offs in the second matchweek, as Swansea City host Newcastle United, Tottenham take on Stoke City and West Ham United welcome Leicester City.

For fans, seeing these six clubs in action will be scintillating, as all have made exciting transfer window signings, and fresh faces such as Potters marquee man Xherdan Shaqiri should be on show. All these competitors will have an eye on a top 10 finish or above, but who can speed ahead here?

Swansea City v Newcastle United
Britain Soccer Premier League
The Swans got their season underway in style by snatching a point at Stamford Bridge and, with Newcastle also splitting the spoils in their opening outing under Steve McClaren, odds of 5/2 with Coral for another draw here could be tempting.

However, the Welsh hosts have gotten the better of the Magpies in five of their last six match-ups, so are odds-on at 19/20 to triumph. Garry Monk’s men are also an excellent 16/5 shout to score three or more, having shown plenty of attacking threat against the Blues.

Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson struck in this fixture last season and is 11/4 to do so again anytime, with electric Jefferson Montero 7/2 in the same market. Alternatively back new boy Andre Ayew (5/1 to strike the first blow) to keep impressing and score his second in as many matches.

As for the Magpies men, another new recruit, Georginio Wijnaldum, is 10/3 to be a goal hero again anytime, while Serbia starlet Aleksandar Mitrovic is 7/1 to break his duck and have the final say.

Tottenham v Stoke City

Stoke completed a surprise double over Spurs last season, and are a fabulous 4/1 to make it three Tottenham scalps on the trot.

The hosts are of course favourites at 3/4, though Maurico Pochettino’s team could not make their early possession count against Manchester United, so may be a better bet at 27/10 to end on even terms as they are yet to add another striker to their ranks.

Hitman Harry Kane is favourite at 3/1 to draw first blood at White Hart Lane, while schemer Christian Eriksen is 7/4 to add to the scoreline anytime after coming close at Old Trafford.

As for Potters predators, Stoke are hopeful new signing Shaqiri will start and, as Mame Biram Diouf struck last in this fixture last season, is an excellent at 8/1 to do so again.

West Ham United v Leicester City
Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Arsenal v West Ham United - Emirates Stadium
Following both club’s excellent first games under new management, the Hammers and Leicester (23/10 to win) will both be eager to follow their swashbuckling starts up with another win.

So, although the Hammers at home are 5/4 favourites, a draw (12/5) with both sides scoring in both halves (12/1) could be better bets, as the two teams still have plenty of new signings to settle in.

Playmaker Dmitri Payet impressed on his bow and will be looking to add a goal at 2/1 anytime, and mercurial Argentine Mauro Zarate is 15/8 to make it two in two under Slaven Bilic.

The Foxes also have plenty of firepower, with rampant Riyad Mahrez 10/3 to star again anytime, and Japan striker Shinji Okazaki 7/1 to notch first.

Betting tip: Back Mahrez to recreate his opening day magic at 10/3 in the anytime market
