Five quality players to improve Chelsea for next season

With Jose Mourinho recently urging his board to back him in the transfer market, having only signed Radamel Falcao on loan so far and Asmir Begovic as goalkeeping cover, Coral look at five options that he could bring in, after snapping up Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis last summer.
This time around, he is likely to repeat this, knowing his challengers will be doing the same. They are 8/5 with Coral to retain their crown so have a look at which five players we thought of who could come in and take them to the next level, again, and bring more glory to club.
Paul Pogba
Arguably, one missing key, is a driving presence in midfield, and the Juventus star would definitely give them that.
Whether Mourinho thinks this or not, the 22-year-old would definitely make an impact at Stamford Bridge and be the perfect complement to Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas. However, his £50m transfer fee could be a potential stumbling block.
Raphael Varane
Real Madrid’s centre back has been linked to the Blues for a while, with Mourinho scouring Europe for a long-term replacement for John Terry.
Having managed him at Los Blancos, the Blues boss is said to be a big fan, and he could be part of Chelsea’s future backline for years to come. His fee is likely to be in the region of £20m.
Charlie Austin
Should Loic Remy leave, the Blues would be one striker short, and QPR’s Austin could fit the bill. He was prolific last season for a side who were fighting relegation and could be a useful player for Mourinho to have.
Mario Gotze
Said to be unhappy at Bayern Munich, this could be a great chance for Chelsea to pounce. The highly talented midfielder who won the World Cup for Germany last summer with a stunning strike in extra time, would add an unbelievable amount of quality to the Blues.
Aaron Cresswell
After Filipe Luis (another Brazilian) moved back to Atletico Madrid, this could see Chelsea move for West Ham’s promising English left back, who only joined the Hammers last summer.
Having excelled in his first season, Cresswell has seen his stock rise and should command a fee in the region of £12m though, with the east London outfit interested in Loic Remy, the two clubs may be able to come to arrangement.
