Defending champions Chelsea out to 2-1 for title

Chelsea has been pushed out to 2-1 (from 7-4) by bookmaker Coral after dropping a couple of points at home to Swansea this afternoon in their opening encounter of the new Premier League season. In contrast, Manchester United started with maximum points and are available at 9-2 in the outright betting for the title.

Elsewhere, in the relegation market with Coral, Sunderland have been slashed into evens (from 2-1), while newcomers Norwich and Watford are both 10-11 to fall out of the division at the end of the season.

“It’s not the ideal start Chelsea would have been looking for so they have drifted out to 2-1 to defend their title. At the bottom end of the table, the big movers in the relegation betting are Sunderland who are now as short as evens to drop out of the league,” said Coral’s John Hill.

**Premier League outright

2 Chelsea, 12-5 Manchester City, 10-3 Arsenal, 9-2 Manchester United, 22 Liverpool, 200 Bar.

**Premier League relegation

10-11 Norwich, Watford, Evs Sunderland, 5-4 Bournemouth, 4 Aston Villa, 9-2 Leicester, West Brom, 5 West Ham, 11-2 Newcastle, 9 Swansea, 12 Bar.
