Having already revamped his squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is again planning a fresh face at Anfield, with his Reds side 22/1 with Coral to lift the title this season.

The Merseysiders are planning a swoop for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, and are willing to pay up to £17m for his services, but are locked in a battle with Manchester City to acquire the France international.

It is believed Rodgers is also close to signing another new forward in the form of Barcelona’s 19-year-old Adama Traore, with the youngster set to fly into Liverpool soon to finalise such a switch from the Nou Camp.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho’s reigning champions Chelsea are hoping to land left back Danny Rose from their London rivals Tottenham, and have asked Mauricio Pochettino’s side to name their price for the defender.

In the red half of Manchester, Louis van Gaal is still tracking Barcelona forward Pedro, but may wait until PSG’s imminent deal with departing Angel Di Maria is finalised before snapping up the Spaniard.

It has also been reported that the Dutch Old Trafford boss has made two incredible £100m offers for Real Madrid’s Welsh wing wizard Gareth Bale this summer already, as he desires pace and power in attack.

Although, possible bad news for United fans, as Van Gaal is believed to be willing to let talented youth product Jesse Lingard leave the club, with Bristol City keen to sign him for £2.5m.

SK Rapid Wien v Celtic - Pre Season Friendly

Elsewhere, Southampton are confident of capturing Celtic’s dominant Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, with Ronald Koeman having offered the Bhoys £7m for his services, after the centre back was also linked with rivals Everton and Sunderland.

The Black Cats will miss out on Van Dijk, but they are close to agreeing loan deals for 25-year-old midfielders Yann M’Vila and Leory Fer, from Rubin Kazan and QPR respectively.

Former Leeds United winger Max Gradel will soon be featuring in the Premier League again, as Bournemouth are close to agreeing a contract with the rapid wideman. He will undoubtedly add to Eddie Howe’s top-flight newcomers, who are 11/2 to finish rock-bottom this season.
