See The Sun has dropped to a handy mark and looks to have plenty going for him in the big 6f handicap at York (15.30).

This Tim Easterby trained gelding won a valuable 20-runner contest over course and distance last June, making all and staying on strongly to beat Naadirr by a neck off a mark of 90.

The runner-up has gone on to land Listed contests at York and Doncaster, and and the race has thrown up plenty of winners and has a strong look to it.

See The Sun was then far from disgraced when sixth of 19 to Deeds Not Words of a revised mark of 97 at Newmarket, before occupying the same position behind the now 112-rated Muthmir in this contest 12 months ago off the same rating.

The four-year-old is now able to race off 90, the same than when last successful, having shaped as if returning to form in his last two starts.

In the first of those See The Sun showed plenty of early dash when eight of 17 to Red Baron in the 5f Scottish Sprint Cup at Musselburgh from an unfavourable low draw.

The son of Assertive than found only the thriving Bushcraft too good when beaten 1 1/4 lengths at Newcastle, and that is strong form which gives See The Sun major claims at the weights of going one better in this.

GRANDAD'S WORLD with J Garrity wins Handicap Stakes at Pontefract 7-4-15.

Grandad’s World disappointed last time but but would be a big danger judged on his previous run second to Twilight Sun in a competitive 16-runner contest over course and distance.

The Richard Fahey trained gelding attempt to make all before going down by 1 1/2 lengths, and the winner is a very exciting and highly progressive sprinter.

Magical Memory and Northgate Lad, who finished third and fourth respectively, have also come out and won since to give the form a solid look in the context of this contest.

Another worthy of a mention is the Charlie Hills trained Tanzeel.

The lightly raced gelding finished behind See The Sun when fourth at Newcastle on his seasonal reappearance, but is entitled to strip much fitter for the outing and remains unexposed and open to further improvement.

Coral’s top tip: See The Sun could see punters clean up if you back him.
