La Liga giants Real Madrid and Premier League juggernauts Manchester City (superb 11/4 shouts for victory in 90 minutes with Coral) are the next to meet in pre-season competition the International Cup.

In the Australian edition of the tournament, Los Blancos and the Sky Blues are the last to battle it out in front of packed crowds in Melbourne.

New Bernabeu boss Rafa Benitez is odds-on at 5/6 to steer his side to a triumph, and will be eager to grab a good result having lost his first match in the dugout to Serie A side Roma on penalties.

City’s duel with the Giallorossi also ended on even terms, though Manuel Pellegrini’s men tasted success in the subsequent shootout, so back a draw again at a great price of 11/5.

The Citizen’s newest recruit Raheem Sterling showed just what fans can expect this coming season by scoring his first goal in City blue in under two minutes last time out, and is 7/2 to star and score again anytime. Young-guns Kelechi Iheanacho, who also found the net against Roma, and Enes Unal, another summer signing, are also excellent respective 11/4 chances in the same market.

Madrid, meanwhile, are still adapting to Benitez’s tactics, which could include a free role for Wales winger Gareth Bale, who is a fantastic 5/1 to fire home first.

With the Spanish coach said to be building his side around the former Spurs star, who once ripped apart his old Inter Milan side in the Champions League, France forward Karim Benzema (5/1 to notch last) may only feature from the bench. The striker has an impressive record of two goals in as many games against the northwest big-guns, so is also 5/4 to be on target anytime.

Real talisman and superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will surely not let the limelight drift from him for too long, however, and the ex-Manchester United showman is 5/2 to punish old foes City by bagging a brace or better.

Betting tip: odds of 11/4 for City to win in 90 mins are a tempting, with Real yet to triumph in the tournament
