International Champions Cup: Chelsea take on New York Red Bulls

Chelsea are odds-on at 4/6 with Coral to beat New York Red Bulls (7/1 to win) in the International Champions Cup, though come up against former Premier League attacker Bradley Wright-Philips, who is a designated player for the Stateside outfit.
Halfway through the 2015 campaign, the 30-year-old has eight goals to his name so far as well as six assists. Having also bagged the Golden Boot award last season, with 27 strikes, the Blues rearguard will have to keep alert to nullify his threat.
Taking time out of training to speak, he said: “It’s definitely something I wanted to work on [scoring goals]. I get judged on goals, but I wasn’t happy on my return with assists last season.
“I had two [last year]. I don’t think I’m the most creative player, but I do think I have [the skill] to create chances and it’s something I wanted to do more. I won’t score as many goals, but I’ll definitely get more assists. I’ll be involved in more team goals,” the Red Bulls forward continued.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been relatively quiet in the transfer window so far this summer just snapping up Radamel Falcao on loan and signing goalkeeper Asmir Begovic from Stoke.
However, in true style of a Mourinho team, the players have been put through their paces in pre-season with plenty of hard work as they target a consecutive Premier League title next term.
It will be interesting to see how Chelsea line up, with striker Loic Remy being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, though the Frenchman recently spoke of his determination to stay and prove himself, after limited opportunities last summer.
Should Remy start, he has more than enough in his locker to trouble the Red Bulls defence, while Mourinho may also start a crop of his youngsters. Chelsea have plenty in their ranks to beat their opponents and are 3/1 to win both halves.
