Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has become the most sought-after star in European football, with Premier League champions Chelsea and Manchester City being continuously linked with the France international. Pogba will be involved at Euro 2016 on home soil next summer and his nation are 4/1 with Coral to triumph.

However, both top-flight sides look set to miss out on his signature, and City will now turn their attention towards Napoli and Slovakia skipper Marek Hamsik to boost their midfield ranks for next season. The 27-year-old Serie A playmaker is rated at around £20m, with the Sky Blues happy to meet the asking price and are 5/2 to reclaim the title next season.

Although, it may not be Manuel Pellegrini who manages the midfielder next season, with City reportedly aiming to replace their current Chilean boss with Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola this summer.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa are aiming to land Leicester City midfield veteran Esteban Cambiasso, who has also been linked to the vacant Foxes managerial role after Nigel Pearson was sacked. The 34-year-old’s contract has expired and Tim Sherwood hopes to capture such an esteemed player for his Villans squad.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is also planning to boost his ranks and has Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu in his sights. The 24-year-old Ghana international is valued at a reported £4.4m after his impressive displays in Serie A.

Both Crystal Palace and West Ham United face competition from Ligue side Marseille for the signing of Lille’s Senegal midfielder Idrissa Gueye, the 25-year-old being highly-rated in France.

Newly-promoted Watford will be looking to strengthen ahead of their return to the Premier League, and are 11/10 to stay up next term, with their new manager Quique Sanchez Flores keen on landing forward duo Pablo Sarabia and Alvaro Vazquez from former club Getafe.

West Bromwich Albion are closing in on a deal for QPR and Scotland international winger Matty Phillips, who have also offered a new contract to coach Gerry Francis.

Newcastle United are still reportedly aiming to snap up Wolfsburg hitman and Netherlands international Bas Dost this summer, but they will have to fork over more than £9m for his services.
