Chelsea to meet Mitrovic asking price as Anderlecht weigh up options

Chelsea, 8/5 with Coral to retain the Premier League, have been linked with Anderlecht frontman Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is valued at £15m by his club.
Having been linked with Newcastle United and Swansea City so far this summer, either club are yet to lodge a bid and his arrival at Stamford Bridge could make sense.
With the future of Loic Remy said to be under review, it is likely the Frenchman will be moved on should Mitrovic sign and it would give the Blues a nice array of strikers.
Having snapped up Radamel Falcao on loan, he will fit in better at Chelsea this season, than he did at Manchester United and he will also be afforded the requisite time to recover from injury. When he does return, he can be world class once more, while Mitrovic gives boss Jose Mourinho an exciting 20-year-old forward with a huge amount potential who he can mould into a top talent.
Further, the club also have 17-year-old Dominic Solanke, who was voted the club’s academy player of the year last term, while also being given first-team game time by Mourinho.
To say Mitrovic is only 20, his record is exemplary. In just 89 appearances in all competitions, the Serbian has scored 43 goals and provided 11 assists for his teammates and has shown requisite competence to transfer this to a top league across Europe.
Blessed with pace and trickery, with clearly an eye for goal, he can fit straight into the Blues side and evidence suggests that he can establish a great partnership with the likes of Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas, as well as being a more than capable deputy for Diego Costa.
Mitrovic would join fellow Serbian’s Nemanja Matic and Branislav Ivanovic at Stamford Bridge should he move to West London, though Mourinho may offload periphery players first.
