Wimbledon has sparked a fifty million pound betting bonanza across the industry, according to leading bookmaker Coral, who has reported more patriotic support for Andy Murray than ever before. Britain’s number one is the shortest price he has ever been to win this tournament at 9-4 following his victory at the Queen’s Club last week, but Novak Djokovic remains the favourite at 7-5.

Coral has also opened specials ahead of the action at SW19, making Kim Murray a 7-4 shot to be caught on camera swearing, while it’s 10-1 that Andy and Kim announce they are expecting their first child at the tournament. It’s 5-4 that any player defies the strict dress code, while the firm go 2-1 that it’s the hottest Wimbledon on record.

“Murray mania is sweeping the country once again and we’re seeing more patriotic support than ever before on the Scot securing his second Wimbledon title, thanks to his victory at the Queen’s Club last week,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.

“Off the court, Kim Murray will be the centre of attention and the odds suggest it could be for the wrong reasons after she was dubbed potty mouth at the Australian Open earlier in the year,” added McGeady.
