Australian sprinters have a good record at Royal Ascot, and Brazen Beau can further enhance it by landing the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes on the final day of the meeting.
The Chris Waller trained three-year-old has won five of his 10 starts, including two Group 1 contests.
In the last of those, Brazen Beau travelled strongly and showed a terrific turn of foot to land the Newmarket Handicap at Flemington by 2 3/4 lengths.
That race is considered one of the best sprint races in Australia and represents very strong form, and the manner of Brazen Beau’s success suggested he could be something special.
The son of I Am Invincible has a high cruising speed and electric turn of foot, and that is the perfect combination for this 6f contest.
Brazen Beau looks a colt of pure quality with immense potential, and from what looks a good draw in stall 15 is going to be very tough to beat.
Mustajeeb is a classy sort and looks a big player for top Irish trainer Dermot Weld.
The colt ran a blinder when third to Kingman in last year’s Irish 2000 Guineas before going on to land the Group Jersey Stakes over 7f at this meeting in good style.
Mustajeeb had no problem coping with a drop down to 6f for the first time when comfortably beating Maarek on seasonal reappearance in a Group 2 contest at the Curragh and remains unexposed as a sprinter.
Due Dilgence ran a blinder when runner-up to Slade Power in the race 12 months ago and given the form of trainer Aidan O’Brien commands plenty of respect, whilst Music Master could prove a live outsider for the home team.
Music Master disappointed when last seen in action, but now has the fast ground he relishes and if running to the form he showed when third to G Force in the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock last season would be in with a shout.
