Queen’s quarters: Murray meets Muller, Raonic and Anderson in action

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

The prestigious Queen’s Club competition is now at the quarter-final stages, and top seed Andy Murray (8/13 tournament odds-on favourite) looks set to clam his fourth title here following high-profile exits.

Top seeds such as tennis great Rafael Nadal, French Open winner Stan Wawrinka and defending champion Grigor Dimitrov have now all exited the event early, leaving just Milos Raonic (5/1) and Marin Cilic (12/1) as realistic challengers to the Scot.

At the time of writing, matches between Cilic and Viktor Troicki, and John Isner and Feliciano Lopez were yet to be completed.

Andy Murray v Gilles Muller
Tennis - AEGON Championships 2013 - Day Seven - The Queen's Club

British number one Murray hopes to continue his fine form this summer, with only one defeat (at the French Open) since his marriage to Kim Sears, but will need to be wary of Luxembourgian Muller, who knocked out defending champion Dimitrov.

The Scot (1/9 favourite) has won both of his meetings with Muller (5/1), though, so is expected to beat him in straight sets, with odds of 2/5.

You can also take odds of 11/4 for Murray, who convincingly beat Spaniard Fernando Verdasco in the second round at Queen’s, to lift his second Wimbledon title following this event.

Gilles Simon v Milos Raonic
Tennis - 2015 AEGON Championship - Day One - The Queen's Club

In three head-to-heads, Montenegrin-born Canada star Raonic has triumphed over Simon (2/1 for victory) in all, which is why he is the odds-on favourite at 8/11 to win once again and reach the semis.

Seventh seed Simon is a fighter, though, and once took Raonic, who reached the Wimbledon semis last year, to five sets at the French Open in 2014, so back the latter to beat the Frenchman 2-1 at 5/2.

Guillermo Garcia-Lopez v Kevin Anderson
Britain Queens Tennis Championship

The winner of the above match will face one of Garcia-Lopez and Anderson, who shocked Wawrinka in the last round in straight sets after knocking out crowd favourite Leyton Hewitt in his final ever Queen’s appearance.

South African giant Anderson is odds-on a 2/5 for victory again, though Spaniard Garcia-Lopez (7/4) triumphed in their meeting this year. Back the latter at 11/4 to win 2-1, though.
