With the Under-21 European Championship approaching, England take on Belarus in the final warm-up match before the tournament starts.

The young Lions are odds-on at 1/10 with Coral to record a win over their eastern European counterparts, with the impressive Harry Kane 2/1 to score first.

Manager Gareth Southgate has said Kane is ready to continue his sensational season on the international stage.

“It’s his mentality, really,” Southgate said when asked why he thinks Kane’s star will continue to rise.

“I don’t see him being distracted. He wants to keep improving, there are still more and more challenges ahead.

“He has established himself as a Premier League player but Harry is the type to think: ‘What’s next?”‘

One player, who is perhaps a surprise selection is Chelsea starlet Ruben Loftus-Cheek, (6/1 anytime scorer) who has been criticised by Blues boss Jose Mourinho, after giving the midfielder a public dressing down following the club’s friendly against Sydney FC.

“In a sense it was good what Mourinho said, as if he didn’t care about him he wouldn’t make those kind of comments,” Southgate added.

“It’s a lesson learned really. I don’t think he needed a kick, because his level had been fine. But he’s obviously had a little dip and been reminded that there’s no room for dips. You tend to be tougher on young players. There’s a phrase ‘be tough on talent’ and he is a talented player,” Southgate continued.

“We’ve not had any indication that there’s a problem with his training, and that there’s a character there are issues with. This is a good kid, and we wouldn’t have brought him into the squad if he wasn’t.

“He’s had a dip and had a little reminder of what he needs to do. In that sense it’ll be beneficial to him.”

Southgate has the luxury of also being able to pick from Danny Ings and Saido Berahino in attack, both of whom have lit up the Premier League this term, and are 3/1 and 11/4 respectively to break the deadlock.

Nathan Redmond, meanwhile, shone in the Championship play-off final, scoring a very well taken goal in the process and has shown he can deliver on the big stage. The exciting winger is 7/4 to score anytime, while Southampton youngster, James Ward-Prowse who scored in a recent qualifier for the team, is 11/4 in the same market.

For their opponents, Evgeni Lebedev, 6/1 anytime and Aleksey Teslyuk, 13/2 could represent the best chances of scoring for the visitors.
