Tuesday, 30th June

Heaton signs new Burnley contract (17:09)
Burnely goalkeeper Tom Heaton has put pen to paper for Burnley after agreeing a new contract with the club as the Clarets prepare for a campaign in the Champinship.

Quinn leaves Hull for Reading (10:33)
Republic of Ireland international Stephen Quinn has joined Reading on a free transfer, signing a three-year deal at the Madejski. The 29-year-old Irishman played 29 times for the Tigers last season as they dropped down to the Championship.

Cresswell commits to Hammers (10:32)
Aaron Cresswell has penned a new five-year deal with West Ham United, having been voted as the club’s player of the season for last term when they finished in 12th position in the Premier League. The 25-year-old’s new deal has the option for a further two-year extension when it expires in 2020.

Cresswell stated: “It’s exciting times for me to pen a new deal at West Ham,” he said. “Hopefully a few more faces will come in and we’ll have a good year.”

Monday, June 29th

Hiddink steps down from the Netherlands (21:38)
Guus Hiddink has quit as Netherlands boss after less than a year in charge, with Danny Blind taking over the role. The Dutch lie third in their Euro 2016 qualifying group, five points adrift of leaders Iceland, having won just three of their six games so far, leaving Blind with a mammoth task.

Leicester City defender Jeffrey Schlupp has signed a new contract at the King Power Stadium, keeping him at the club until 2019. Schlupp, who can also play in a midfield role, featured in 32 Premier League games last term to help the club avoid relegation.

Phil Neville named assistant coach at Valencia (16:07)
Spanish giants Valencia have raised eyebrows across Europe with their surprise appointment of former Manchester United and Everton defender Phil Neville as assistant coach to manager Nuno Espirito Santo. Neville, 38, has previous coaching experience after spending a season working with ex-Red Devils boss David Moyes at Old Trafford.

Friday, June 26th

Leicester City lure Japan poacher Shinji Okazaki (19:18)
The Foxes have completed the capture of Mainz marksman and Japan international Okazaki on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee, subject to a work permit.

“I’m very happy to be here. To play in the Premier League is a dream,” stated the 29-year-old Blue Samurai sharpshooter.

Bournemouth sign Tyrone Mings (16:03)
The Cherries have announced a club record signing of adaptable defender Mings on a four-year deal from Ipswich Town for a fee believed to be around the £8m mark.

West Ham snap up Dimitri Payet (14:40)
West Ham United have secured the signing of French midfielder Dimitri Payet from Ligue 1 side Marseille. The Hammers are reported to have paid an eight-figure undisclosed fee, which is understood to be in the region of £10.7m.

Fulham capture Tom Cairney (14:07)
Championship side Fulham have signed midfielder Cairney from Blackburn Rovers on a four-year-deal, with the 24-year-old believed to have cost the Cottagers around £4m.

Everton have agreed a £4.3m deal for Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu, with the Spaniard having spent the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Goodison Park.

Wednesday, June 24th

Leicester City have Huth for keeps (16:00)
The Foxes have signed on-loan German centre back Robert Huth from Stoke City on a three-year deal for a reported £3m fee.

Liverpool raid for Roberto Firmino (07:00)
Brazil attacker Roberto Firmino will join Anfield on a five-year deal from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim for a fee of around £29m, provided he passes a medical on Merseyside after the Copa America.

Pepe Reina makes move to Napoli (16:45)
Former Liverpool goalkeeper and Spaniard Reina has switched from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich to Serie A side Napoli. The veteran goal guard spent time on loan at Napoli during the end of his Reds career and has now agreed a permanent deal at the Stadio San Paolo.

Alejandro Faurlin extends QPR stay (15:20)
Long-term Hoops player has signed a new contract with the west London outfit. Argentine Faurlin has had an injury-hit last couple of seasons but has extended his stay with the club he joined in 2009.

Swans swoop for Swedish stopper Kristoffer Nordfeldt (14:20)
Garry Monk makes his move and signs the five times capped Sweden goalie from Eredivisie outfit Heerenveen on a three-year deal.

England youngster Mandela Egbo moves to Germany (14:00)
Mandela Egbo, 17, who is an England youth international, has made the move to Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach on a four-year deal.

Monchengladbach general manager Max Eberl said: “We are delighted Mandela has decided to join our club, because he is a young player with a lot of potential. He is able to feature on the right side of defence or midfield and will now have the chance to qualify for our first-team squad via his matches for our Under-23 side.”

Brazil centurion Lucio joins Indian Super League side FC Goa (13:30)
A blast from the past here, as ex-Inter Milan and Bayern Munich centre back legend Lucio has signed for Zico-managed FC Goa.

The ISL runs from October to December this year, and the 37-year-old, recently of Palmeiras, will compete against the likes of compatriot Elano and Nicolas Anelka.

Gers complete Kiernan capture (12:45)
Rangers have completed the signing of Irish defender Rob Kiernan from Wigan Athletic on a two-year contract. He spent time on loan last term at Birmingham City.

Fiorentina announce former Swansea City boss as new head coach (9:10)
Ex-QPR, Swans and Leicester City manager takes charge of Viola after leading Swiss side Basel to league title success last term.

Sousa, who has never been in charge of a club for more than two seasons, takes over from sacked Vincenzo Montella.

Matthew Lowton joins relegated Burnley (20:30)
Full back Lowton has signed for the Clarets from Aston Villa on a year-deal contract, after playing a bit-part role for Tim Sherwood’s side last term.

“Things went pretty quickly from when Burnley showed a bit of interest,” he said. “Straight away I said yes because I just want to go and play football every week.

“It’s been a little frustrating lately but the manager here said I’d play a lot of football and I’m really looking forward to getting started.

“I had two years left on my contract, but I haven’t played enough football in the last year and I’ve worked hard growing up to be a footballer.

“I don’t want to come on a Saturday and watch other players do it.

“There were a few clubs interested, but Burnley belong in the Premier League and hopefully I can come in and help us get back up.”

Juventus complete signing of Mario Mandzukic (17:50)
Serie A winners and Champions League runners-up Juve have wrapped up the transfer of Croatian striker Mandzukic from Atletico Madrid on a four-year deal for £15m.

Charlie Adam extends stay at Stoke until 2017 (16:30)
Scotland midfielder and Potters Adam has signed a new one-year contract extension, with an option of another.

Club chief executive Tony Scholes said: “We are delighted that Charlie has decided to extend his stay with us. It’s clear to see he’s enjoying playing under the management of Mark Hughes and feels at home at the Britannia Stadium.

“Charlie is a big fans’ favourite and I’m sure they will be pleased as we are that he is staying for at least another two years, if not longer.”

Martin Samuelsen signs for West Ham (13:20)
Former Manchester City trainee striker Samuelsen, 18, has joined the Hammers on a two-year deal, with an option for two more.

The Norwegian said: “I’m very pleased to have signed for West Ham United. I’m just really looking forward to getting started next season.

“When I was on trial here at the end of last season, I was amazed at the individual planning for each player. They have a great plan for each player. The atmosphere there is very good.

“First of all I want to play well for the Under-21s and get goals and assists. Overall I want to help the team do well and maybe lift the league title.

“It would be great to make my first team debut here at the Boleyn Ground. I’ve seen the plans for the new Stadium and they look amazing, it’s a very exciting time to join West Ham.”

Liverpool bring in more English talent by snapping up Joe Gomez (12:20)
Brendan Rodgers has added young defender Gomez to his ranks, following the signings of James Milner and Danny Ings too, for a fee of £3.5m.

The 18-year-old, who joins from Charlton Athletic, said: “It’s a dream come true. It’s a bit surreal and it hasn’t really hit me yet. But I’m buzzing and just excited to get started.”

Tottenham have announced the capture of talented right back Trippier from relegated Burnley for a fee believed to be upwards of £3.5m, with the 24-year-old defender committing to a five-year deal.

Fulham swoop for free pair Ben Pringle and Andy Lonergan (14:00)
Kit Symons snaps up midfielder Pringle and keeper Lonergan, after the duo were out of contract at respective clubs Rotherham United and Bolton Wanderers. They have signed two-year deal with an option for a third.

Phil Jagielka extends Everton stay (13:08)
Toffees defender Jagielka has signed a new one-year deal which will keep him at Goodison Park until 2018. The 32-year-old centre back told Everton’s official website of his decision to extend, stating: “I love it here, I want to stay here and thankfully enough the Club felt the same.”

Swans land Franck Tabanou from St-Etienne (12:45)
Lots of done deals involving French clubs or French players in the last hour. This time Swansea have captured left-sided star Franck Tabanou from St-Etienne on a three-year deal.

He becomes the second Swans signing of the summer, following Andre Ayew’s free transfer from Marseille.

Mexican side Tigres pull off double striking coup! (12:30)
One of the more surprising deals of the summer transfer window, as previously in-demand frontman Andre-Pierre Gignac, who was out of contract at Marseille, has signed for Tigres.

On top of that, Nigeria forward Ikechukwu Uche, formerly of Villarreal, has also joined the club.

“I’m very happy, I’ve come to win the league and the Libertadores,” France international Gignac, 29, said.

The Blues have announced that former French wonderkid Gael Kukuta will join the Europa League winners on a permanent deal, after making just 16 appearances for the west London outfit.

Forward Andreas Weimann has signed a four-year deal with the Rams, for a fee reported to be £2m.

The 23-year-old said: “I’m excited to be here and I’m looking forward to the new challenge. Derby have plans to be successful and get promoted and that’s what attracted me here; I want to be part of that.

Southampton sign Cedric Soares from Sporting Lisbon (15:25)
The German-born Portugal international right back signs for the Saints on a four-year deal, perhaps suggesting that England’s Nathaniel Clyne could be sold?

Soares, who joins fellow recent acquisition Juanmi, said: “I joined this club because I believe we can do better and better every year.

“Everyone knows that the Premier League is a very, very good league – and maybe the best one in the world – so for me it’s a pleasure to be here, but even more of a pleasure to be in Southampton.

”Southampton is a big, big club in England and is very respected. It’s a club with a lot of history and, for me, it’s very important to play for a big club. I think this is a very good move.”

Aston Villa confirm Micah Richards capture (18:15)
Villa have confirmed the signing of defender Richards, who will join from Man City on a free transfer once his current contract expires on July 1st.

Richards, 26, who spent the past season on loan at Serie A side Fiorentina, has penned a four-year deal with the Villans and can cover both right back and centre half berths for Tim Sherwood’s side.

Wednesday, June 17th

Phil Brown extends stay at Southend United
Former Hull City boss Brown has signed a new three-year contract with the The Shrimpers, after gaining promotion via the play-offs from League Two with them last term.

“It’s been a long process, but I’m really pleased to be staying with Blues long-term,” Brown said. “I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club.

“Hopefully we can make some more memories together not just next season but beyond that as well.”

Young Leeds striker signs contract extension (14:00)
While it has been busy day in terms of gossip and offers made, there have not been a lot of done deals, so we report that Lewis Walters has signed a one-year extension with boyhood club Leeds United.

The Harrogate-born 20-year-old is yet to feature in the first team, but was on the bench against newly-promoted Watford back in February.

Fenerbahce snap up centre back Simon Kjaer for free (11:30)
Amongst the release of the 2015/16 Premier League fixture list, highly-rated Danish defender Kjaer, 26, has decided to join the Turkish team after leaving French club Lille.

Diminutive Spain cap Juanmi joins Southampton on a four-year deal from La Liga outfit Malaga.

Ex-Real Madrid and Spain Under-21 striker Joselu signs for Stoke City (17:40)
Josulu has signed for Stoke from Hannover 96 for a fee of £5.75m, adding to the club’s growing Spanish contingent.

“Joselu has an excellent pedigree and is a player we have been tracking for some time,” Potters boss Mark Hughes said.

“He has skills and attributes that are different to what we already have within the squad but will complement the attacking players we already have at our disposal.

“Joselu is excited about testing himself in the Premier League and we’re delighted to have him with us.”

Jamie Mackie in QPR homecoming (17:30)
Tenacious attacker Mackie has returned to the Hoops following their relegation to the Championship, and signs on a two-year deal from Nottingham Forest.

Andoni Iraola loses clubman status as he joins New York City FC from Athletic Bilbao (16:15)
Former Spain international and Basque right back, 32, who played for Bilbao for his whole career, has signed for the MLS outfit, joining the likes of Frank Lampard and compatriot David Villa at the club.

“I have only played for one club throughout my whole career and I knew after leaving Bilbao my first choice was always to play in the U.S. and in New York,” Iraola said. “It’s a very exciting opportunity for me to join New York City FC in our inaugural season. This is a team with huge potential, passionate supporters, and I really wanted to be part of it.

“For me it will be very nice playing with David Villa. We’ve crossed paths on the national team, we have played against each other many times but being able to play with him in the league and fight together is extra motivation for me.

Friday, June 12th

Memphis Depay is definitely a Man Utd player now! (3:15pm)
Despite the Netherlands winger all-but agreeing to sign for the Red Devils, the deal has finally been confirmed and there’s nothing anyone can say otherwise now!

The 21-year-old is on a four-year contract, with an option for a fifth, and said these words: “This is a dream come true for me; to play for the biggest club in the world and also to have the chance to work with someone who I believe is the best manager in the world, Louis van Gaal. I have great belief in my ability and I work hard to strive to achieve my dreams.

“I have been at PSV Eindhoven since I was 12 years old and I would like to thank them for everything. It was a great moment when we won the league and I was so happy to be part of that. This is now a new chapter in my life and one that I am looking forward to.”

Andre Gomes signs permanently for Valencia from Benfica (12:45pm)
Following on from Benfica’s questionable decision to sign Taarabt, they have now let promising Portugal midfielder Gomes leave for Valencia permanently.

The 21-year-old, formerly a target of Manchester clubs United and City, spent last season with the Bats on loan, and impressed enough to be offered a five-year deal.

QPR are finally rid of Adel Taarabt as Morocco attacker signs for Benfica (11:33am)
Taarabt is now the Portugal champions’ problem, after the controversial player leaves recently-relegated Hoops (5/1 for promotion from the Championship) for free.

While he made over 150 appearances for QPR over five years, it is fair to say he won’t be missed, despite the odd flash of brilliance.

Liverpool sign third summer freebie as Adam Bogdan joins (9:45am)
Hungary keeper Bogdan, 27, has agreed terms to sign for the Reds on July 1st when his deal runs out with Bolton Wanderers.

The transfer comes after Brendan Rodgers snapped up English duo James Milner and Danny Ings, who were both out of contract too.

Naples-born Sarri signs a one-year deal, after helping Empoli to 15th in Serie A in their first season back in the Italian top flight.

Stuart Gray sacked as Sheffield Wednesday boss (7:15pm)
Despite leading the Owls to a respectable 13th last season in the Championship, Gray has been relived of duties with the Yorkshire outfit.

Club chairman Dejphon Chansiri said: “This is not a decision I have taken lightly but one that I believe is in the best interests of our club ahead of the 2015/16 season.

“The club will be taking a new direction next season and it is my belief that the appointment of a new head coach will help achieve my desire of bringing Premier League football back to Hillsborough.

AC Milan avoid losing Ignazio Abate for free as full back signs on (4:11pm)
Right back Abate, previously linked with the likes of Juventus, Arsenal and Liverpool, has finally committed to the Rossoneri on a four-year deal.

“AC Milan announces that Ignazio Abate has extended his contract with AC Milan until June 30, 2019,” a club statement read.

Sadd day for Barca fans as Xavi is finally unveiled at Qatari club (4:08pm)
The Barcelona legend has been given the number 6 shirt at new club Al Sadd, following his departure from the recent treble-winning team.

Admir Mehmedi signs for Bayer Leverkusen (4:05pm)
Switzerland forward Mehmedi has signed for Bayer from Freiburg for an undisclosed fee, as the club continue to bolster their ranks following the permanent acquisition of Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

“Admir Mehmedi fits the bill perfectly for us,” said the club’s director of sport and Germany legend Rudi Voller.

“He’s quick, technically strong and has a good shot on him. He is also very versatile, which is why he will make our attack even more varied.”

York City quartet sign one-year deals (2pm)
Not many done deals today in the world of football, which is why we have delved into League Two to report that four Minstermen stars have signed one-year contracts.

York have held onto local lad and young midfielder Tom Platt, formerly of Easingwold Town AFC, as well as Northern Ireland internationals Josh Carson and Michael Ingham. Former Leeds United and Manchester City youth player George Swan, meanwhile, joins from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a free transfer.

Wednesday, June 10th

Irish legend Robbie Keane extends stay at LA Galaxy (10:32pm)
Former Liverpool and Tottenham star Keane, now 34, will continue his spell with the MLS outfit for the “coming years” confirms boss Bruce Arena.

Keane, who has scored 55 goals in 91 games for the club, will link up alongside new signing and ex-Anfield teammate Steven Gerrard.

Swansea pull off bargain by snapping up Andre Ayew for free (6:50pm)
Garry Monk has pulled off another masterstroke by luring former Marseille forward Ayew, 25, to the Liberty Stadium, after the Ghana international was out of contract.

“When I thought about everything England was the place to be, it has the best league and I wanted to play against the best players,” Ayew said.

“Swansea is a good club, they have great players and they have been doing well since they came into the Premier League. With my style of play and with the mentality that the club has it was normal for me to choose a club like Swansea.”

Drum-roll please, Leeds United have made their first signing of the summer in 20-year-old goalie Horton, who moves to Elland Road from Cardiff City on a two-year deal.

Sami Khedira joins Juventus (2:04pm)
Germany international Khedira has agreed a four-year deal to join Italian giants Juventus, as the midfield shield is soon to be out of contract at Real Madrid, following a long spell on the sidelines due to injury.

Slaven Bilic appointed as West Ham coach (12:44)
West Ham United have finally announced that ex-Croatia and Besiktas boss Bilic will replace departed Sam Allardyce as Hammers coach for next season, with the 46-year-old former Upton Park cult hero agreeing a three-year deal.

Dani Alves renews Barca contract (11:30am)
Barca just keep stealing the headlines, as Brazil defender Alves has signed a new two-year deal (with the option for a third) to stay at the Catalan club, following yesterday’s news that Jordi Alba and Pedro have also extended their stays with the Spanish giants.

Mercurial winger Ben Arfa has finally returned to Ligue 1 with Nice, after a transfer was blocked last season as the Frenchman had already represented Newcastle United Under-21s and Hull City, before he cancelled his contract with the Magpies by mutual consent.

Fiorentina sack Vicenzo Montella (10:34pm)
Serie A side Fiorentina have parted ways with head coach Montella, who guided Viola to a Europa League semi-final last season and still had a year left on his deal. The Tuscan club said in a statement: “We would have expected to see the coach behave in a clearer, more respectful and less ambiguous manner.”

Jordi Alba and Pedro pen new Barca deals (4:30pm)
Barcelona have tied left back Alba and forward Pedro, both reared at La Masia, to new long-term deals.

Alba has signed on a five-year deal to keep him at the Nou Camp until 2020, while Pedro has penned a four-year contract with his boyhood club, though both have buyout clauses of around €150m.

Preston North End pick up Jermaine Beckford (4:23pm)
Newly promoted Championship club Preston have pounced for former Leeds United striker Beckford on a bosman, signing the 31-year-old to a two-year deal at Deepdale. The forward excelled on loan with the Lilywhites this season and will return permanently after his contract with Bolton Wanderers expires on the 30th of June.

Darren Bent and Alex Pearce join Derby County (1:03pm)
The Rams (8/1 with Coral to win the 2015/16 Championship) have wasted little time either, snapping up free agents Darren Bent, who starred on loan with 12 goals for Derby this term, and centre back Alex Pearce.

Pearce joins the Rams on a three-year deal from Reading, while striker Bent has penned a two-year contract and will arrive from Aston Villa on July 1st. Speaking of the move, Bent told Derby’s website: “Once my contract was coming to an end at Aston Villa this was the only place I could see myself coming too.”

Barca acquire excellent talent Aleix Vidal (11:06am)
Not content with resting on their laurels after winning a historic second treble, Champions League victors Barcelona have pounced for Sevilla wingman Vidal, snapping the Spaniard up for a reported £16m.

Confusion remains over Vidal’s immediate future, as the right flank threat has been potentially drafted in to replace Brazil defender Dani Alves, but due to Barca’s transfer ban, cannot play for the club until January 2016.

This does not appear to have dampened the Catalan giants’ spirit, however, as they paraded the news triumphantly on twitter:

Liverpool announce Danny Ings (9am)
Brendan Rodgers’ Reds got things underway with another free capture in England Under-21 international Ings (who is 6/4 to be Liverpool’s top Premier League scorer in 2015/16), to compliment James Milner, who also arrived at Anfield on a bosman last week.

Liverpool just keep finding gems on the bargain rack, but there is still the small matter of compensation to be agreed with Burnley as Ings’ contract with the Clarets runs out at the end of June.

The Lancashire club, recently relegated back down to the Championship, released a statement claiming: “We have rejected an offer made by Liverpool, but will continue to have dialogue with the club in order to reach a resolution over the fee.”
