Coral’s Rumour Reel: Man Utd to rival Chelsea for Brazilian starlet?

Next season’s Premier League title race could be set to be one of the closest to date, as Manchester United look to strengthen and challenge Chelsea (5/1 with Coral to win 2015/16 title), while Arsenal and Manchester City hope to bolster their squad to challenge for the domestic crown again.

Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils are facing competition form Chelsea for the signature of Lazio starlet Felipe Anderson, with the 22-year-old set to attract offers from around £30m. The Brazilian is one of the hottest prospects in Europe after his sublime Serie A performances this term, with both top-flight clubs hoping to boost their midfield areas.

Fresh after helping Barcelona clinch their fifth European crown, Dani Alves has hit Man Utd with a blow, as the Brazilian right back hinted he may be open to a switch to AC Milan. The Red Devils are in need of defensive reinforcements and Alves was heavily tipped to join, but a San Siro move seems to be his preferred destination.

Staying in Manchester, and in the blue half of the city, Manuel Pellegrini’s men are aiming to lure former Chelsea playmaker Kevin De Bruyne back to England for a reported £40m, with the Belgium international having enjoyed a superb campaign for Wolfsburg.

Elsewhere, the Premier League’s top teams have been put on red alert, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly become unhappy with life in the French capital. PSG are apparently ready to flog the Sweden international sharpshooter, with Arsenal leading the way for his sought-after services, and a mere £11m price-tag has been touted.

In the capital, Tottenham are keen on securing the services of Monaco frontman Anthony Martial, with the promising teenager likely to cost in the region of £18.2m. The highly-rated forward could be a potent back-up to Harry Kane, with Spurs 5/1 for a top four finish next campaign.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino could see one of his star names leave in the coming months. Hugo Lloris has refused to rule out a switch to Old Trafford, with current number one David de Gea’s possible departure to Real Madrid set to trigger a transfer merry-go-round, with Frenchman Lloris the perfect replacement in red.

Staying in London, and Jose Mourinho’s Blues could offload one of their out-of-favour forwards, with Swansea City join Crystal Palace and Southampton in the race for Frenchman Loic Remy’s summer signature. The Swans are looking for a boost in firepower and Remy could provide exactly that next term, after Garry Monk guided to the Welsh outfit to an impressive eighth place.
