Andy Murray shortest price ever to win Wimbledon despite tough draw

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Britain’s Andy Murray is the shortest price he has ever been to win Wimbledon according to bookmaker Coral, despite being drawn in the same half as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal today. The 2013 champion is 9-4 to secure his second Wimbledon title, while Coral go top price on favourite Novak Djokovic at 7-5.

The firm is also betting on the stage of elimination of the Big Four, quoting odds of 7-2 that Murray is beaten in the final, while it’s 3-1 that he’s knocked out of the tournament in the semi-final. Djokovic is 9-4 to be beaten in the final, while it’s 7-4 that Rafa Nadal doesn’t make it past the quarter-final.

Meanwhile, Coral go 25-1 that Murray doesn’t drop a set throughout the tournament, while Djokovic is 12-1. The bookmaker go 7-2 that this year sees a new winner of the men’s singles title.

“Andy Murray’s tough draw hasn’t deterred the spread of Murray mania as patriotic support for the Scot continues to pour in. He couldn’t have come into the tournament in better shape so we’re taking on Novak Djokovic instead by going top price,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
