Premier League final day: Stoke host Liverpool in Steven Gerrard’s last game

Published:

Liverpool travel to Stoke for the last match of the Premier League season, and are 5/4 favourites with Coral to win the match.

All the spotlight will no doubt be on Reds skipper Steven Gerrard, who is making his final appearance for Liverpool, in what is sure to be an emotional occasion. Coral are offering enhanced odds of 3/1 for the 34-year-old to score at anytime.

Brendan Rodgers’ side ran out 1-0 winners at Anfield earlier in the season, with Glen Johnson scoring. The right back is 16/1 to fire in anytime.

Last time out, Liverpool succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace, and following this, Rodgers will be looking for a positive response.

Stoke, are unbeaten in two, and despite a goalless draw at Burnley previously, they bested Tottenham 3-0 prior to that at the Britannia Stadium, with Charlie Adam, Steven Nzonzi and Mame Biram Diouf getting on the scoresheet.

The trio are 7/2, 7/1 and 9/4 to strike anytime. Diouf has had a great season for the Potters, and it really was an inspired decision from manager Mark Hughes to bring the striker in last summer. No doubt the highlight; a winner against Manchester City at the Etihad earlier in the campaign.

It was Adam Lallana who got the solitary goal for Liverpool against the Eagles, as the Reds got off to a flying start, and the midfielder is 4/1 again in the anytime market.

While much speculation has surrounded the future of Raheem Sterling this week, it will be interesting to see whether the gossip has affected him. The attacker is 7/1 to break the deadlock, while for Mario Balotelli, his Reds future may hinge on this game.

It is fair to say that he has been a flop at Liverpool this season, after joining for £16m, and despite endeavour, his goal return has been slim. The Italian striker is 28/1 to score a hat-trick; about the only thing he could do to salvage his Reds career.

Coral recommended bet: Steven Gerrard anytime scorer @ 3/1
