Premier League final day: Everton entertain Tottenham on Merseyside

Roberto Martinez will guide his Everton side out for the last time this season, as the Toffees tackle Tottenham at Goodison Park on the final day of the Premier League.
The Merseysiders can clinch 10th position in the top-flight table if they manage to gain a better result against Spurs than what top-half challengers West Ham United secure over Newcastle United, while Mauricio Pochettino’s Londoners are still vying for fifth spot.
Tottenham can edge past Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool, who currently occupy fifth place, if the Reds draw with or lose to Stoke City and Pochettino’s men triumph (2/1 with Coral to win).
The visitors will hope star striker Harry Kane can continue his rampant run of goalscoring for this season and end the campaign on a high, following a 20-haul so far, and the in-form frontman has recently committed his future to the White Hart Lane outfit.
“Spurs is where I’m at and where I plan to be for a very long time,” stated Kane. “We’ll be looking to win some good trophies in the future. I want to keep progressing and keep getting better. This season has been crazy and more than what I ever expected to do so early on but it’s happened, and it’s how you deal with it.”
Kane was also named in Gareth Southgate’s England Under-21 squad for the European Championships this summer, much to the annoyance of his Argentine head coach, and the 21-year-old is targeting future silverware for both club and country ahead of his side’s visit to Goodison Park.
“I am hoping to go on and win many trophies for Spurs and for England. That’s always been the aim since I was a kid, dreaming of lifting the trophy one day for them,” he continued.
“I want to be a player that does everything he can to reach his ability and I’ll keep working hard. I want to win trophies.”
With a top-half finish still up for grabs, Everton will be aiming for a big three points on home soil, and Martinez will need his brilliant Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku to be on top form, with the ferocious forward 11/4 to score anytime and Everton to win.
Kane is the travelling side’s key threat (6/1 to score first) but deadly Dane Christian Eriksen will also be sure to cause problems and, having netted in the reverse clash last November, the prolific playmaker is 10/3 to net again anytime.
