SPORTSBOOK ODDS

This semi-final has an element of intrigue. Carlo Ancelotti returns to his native country where he made his name, with the team he steered to the Champions League last season.

Real Madrid are 6/4 with Coral to win in Turin, though we are also offering two sensational match specials, the first one being, the holders to secure victory and Cristiano Ronaldo to score at 7/2, or Juventus to win and Carlos Tevez to net at a 5/1 price.

Ronaldo warmed up for this contest by hitting a hat-trick in the 3-2 win over Sevilla to become the record holder for the amount of La Liga trebles scored. The Portuguese forward is 6/1 to score two or more goals, and will have his eye on being the competition’s top scorer for the second season running, as well as another winners medal.

It will be interesting to see what tactics Ancelotti deploys. While in charge of AC Milan, games against Juventus were always a cagey, defensive affair, and while Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale may just eclipse the likes of Kaka, Andriy Shevchenko and Hernan Crespo on talent and ability, it could still be a tough match.

The difference for the Turin titans, however, could be in the absence of star midfielder Paul Pogba, with the Old Lady losing that all-action presence in the middle of the park, though Real will still have to be on guard for the lethal Tevez in attack, who has been prolific this term.

Their Argentine goal machine is great value at 6/4 anytime, and Real were less than convincing defensively as they conceded two to Sevilla last time out. Alvaro Morata, meanwhile, will be looking to scupper his former employers’ hopes of a consecutive Champions League title, and is 2/1 in the anytime market, with a draw on offer at 9/4.

For the visitors, Javier Hernandez, after his winner against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the quarter-finals, will be keen to further make his mark on the competition. The Mexican forward, who is on loan from Manchester United, is 2/1 in the anytime market, while Marcelo, who scored away against Schalke in the last 16, is 12/1 in the anytime market.
