Dante winner now 2/1 Derby favourite despite Epsom doubts
Published:The impressive Dante Stakes winner Golden Horn is 2-1 favourite with Coral for next month’s Investec Derby, although the colt would need to be supplemented for the Epsom Classic. The York runner-up Jack Hobbs is 4-1 for the Derby, ahead of Zawraq at 7-1, with Elm Park priced at 8-1.
“We were hoping the Dante would bring some clarity to the Investec Derby ante post picture, but instead the waters have been muddied even further with victory for a horse not certain to run at Epsom, although such was the manner of his York success, we make him favourite at this stage, with a supplementary entry surely now under serious consideration,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
