Coral’s seven superb destinations for dangerman Danny Ings

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

This season may have ended in relegation for beleaguered Premier League battlers Burnley, who will now return to the Championship, yet the Clarets’ coveted attacker Danny Ings has certainly put himself in the shop window.

The soon-to-be out-of-contract England Under-21 star, recently named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championships, looks set to have his pick of top tier clubs, from both home and abroad this summer, if he bids Burnley goodbye.

Coral have a host of excellent odds available for customers on exciting Ings’ next step, so we consider where the striking starlet may decide on as his next destination…

Bournemouth
Coral experts have already speculated Ings may become one of promoted Championship winners Bournemouth’s homegrown picks, as the 21-year-old Cherries academy product could return to his former club and mentor Eddie Howe, and is a tasty 10/1 chance to do so.

Although Ings may not fancy the prospect of another potential relegation struggle, guaranteed game time could tip the balance in the Cherries’ favour, as the frontman continues to push for his first senior Three Lions cap.

Watch Ings body pop back in the day at Bournemouth:

Liverpool
The Reds will surely bolster their attacking roster as they rebuild for next term, with Ings set to be an affordable option up top, with only a compensation fee likely due for Burnley.

Brendan Rodgers is odds-on 4/9 favourite to pip rivals to the post for in-demand dangerman Ings’ services, with Daniel Sturridge’s injury record a continuing concern and disappointing duo Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert looking likely to leave Liverpool.

Manchester United
The Red Devils are also rumoured to be off-loading several strikers this summer, with Monaco-owned forward Radamel Falcao and on-loan Javier Hernandez looking the most likely for Old Trafford exits.

Ings, a 9/2 punt to arrive in the red half of Manchester, may not fancy being restricted to a supporting role behind skipper Wayne Rooney in the pecking order, however.

Real Sociedad
It seems former United and Everton manager David Moyes also has his eye on recruiting soon-to-be free agent Ings, who is an outside shout at 25/1 to choose Sociedad as his next stop. Should the sharpshooter opt for some Spanish sun, he would become the latest in a long line of British talents to take a chance on the continent.

Speaking recently, Royals boss Moyes said: “I think we have a chance to sign Ings. I cannot confirm if he will come or not, but I would like him to.”

Southampton
Generously priced at 10/1 to tempt Ings to St Mary’s, Southampton could poach the predator, who has hit 10 Premier League goals this campaign, to bolster the Saints’ ranks this summer if they secure Europa League football.

With Italy international Graziano Pelle stumbling at times this season, Ronald Koeman will surely need more striking support if he is to compete on the continental front.

View Ings’ striking prowess:

Swansea City
The Swans have had an excellent season under manager Garry Monk, but have not yet adequately replaced marksman Wilfried Bony, who left the Welsh club for Manchester City during the Winter window.

Underrated Ings has potential to lead the line for a possession-orientated team, to prove his is not simply a fox in the box and fine finisher. Monk could be the perfect coach to coax more out of the attacker, who could see Swansea (20/1 to snap-up the current Clarets striker) as a smaller step up, yet more likely to help him develop.

Tottenham
It is no secret Spurs (9/2 to snare Ings) have been searching for striker, with misfiring flops Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor mooted to leave White Hart Lane.

Ings would be an ideal recruit for Mauricio Pochettino’s men then, as a partner for compatriot and England Under-21 teammate Harry Kane, or as a rotation option to ease the pressure on Tottenham’s leading light.
