Bingham 25-1 to defend title at the Crucible in 2016

Stuart Bingham is 25-1 with leading bookmaker Coral to defend the World Championship at the Crucible in 2016 after he overcame Shaun Murphy in the final last night to win the trophy for the first time in his career.

At the top of the outright market, Coral make Ronnie O’Sullivan the 9-2 favourite for next year’s event, Judd Trump is available at 11-2, while Neil Robertson can be backed at 6-1.

“At 50-1 pre-tournament, Bingham is one of the biggest priced winners at the Crucible in the history of the World Championship so it was a fantastic result for the bookmakers. No first time winner in the modern era has returned to defend their title 12 months later but we make Bingham 25-1 to do so in 2016,” said Coral’s John Hill.
