Bayliss’ England 7-2 to win the Ashes this summer

England are 7-2 with bookmaker Coral to win the Ashes this summer after appointing Australian Trevor Bayliss as their new coach this afternoon. The Three Lions go into the series as the underdogs, with Australia the favourites at 4-11 and the draw available at 13-2.
Meanwhile, following their first Test victory at Lords yesterday, England are 1-3 to wrap up their current series against New Zealand on home soil and 6-5 to do so by winning the Second Test.
“When we initially priced up the betting for England’s new coach, Bayliss was a big outsider, however, it soon became clear that he was the number one target when money came pouring in for him over the weekend,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“Despite the appointment, England go into the series against Australia as the underdogs, although punters have started to come for the Three Lions following their victory over New Zealand earlier this week,” added Hill.
