Survival rivals Burnley and Leicester eyeing Everton and Swansea scalps

Bottom dwellers Burnley (9/2 with Coral to finish bottom) and Leicester City (7/2) have both received surprise Premier League survival boosts lately, and are now aiming for ambitious great escapes.

The Clarets and Foxes may be looking to leapfrog their relegation rivals, but will have to navigate duels against mid-table teams Everton and Swansea City first, with both angling for strong finishes to the season.

Everton v Burnley
After taking points from both Manchester City and Tottenham recently, the Clarets are 4/1 to raise their game again at Everton and win this clash.

Sean Dyche’s struggling side have recorded their best results at Turf Moor, however, and may not fare as well at Goodison Park, where the Toffees are odds-on at 8/11 to triumph.

Burnley have won just once on the road across all competitions so, having racked up 11 league draws, ending on even terms with Everton is perhaps the best they can hope for at 11/4.

As the Clarets have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their past 13 away days, and struggled to find the net in their last three, Roberto Martinez’s men are a nifty 9/5 to win to nil.

Leading Toffees marksman Romelu Lukaku is expected to return for this clash, and the big Belgian is fantastic value at 5/1 to bag a brace or better, or 4/1 to close the scoring, having already punished Burnley’s backline in the reverse.

On-loan wingman Aaron Lennon is 5/1 to strike anytime after grabbing two in his past three appearances, while Arouna Kone is the same price to get proceedings underway.

For the Clarets, Danny Ings is 9/4 to end the Lancashire club’s goal drought anytime, while wingman George Boyd, the last to strike for Burnley, is available at 6/1.

Leicester City v Swansea City
Swansea sank Leicester 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium earlier this season, and are 5/2 to beat the bottom club again.
However, goal hero Wilfried Bony has since moved on to Manchester City, and fellow frontman Bafetimbi Gomis is ruled out with a hamstring injury.

With a dearth of options up top, Garry Monk will be looking to his marvellous midfield trio of Ki Sung-Yeung (6/1 in the anytime market), Gylfi Sigurdsson (5/1) and Jonjo Shelvey (9/1 to net last) for goals instead.

The Foxes, meanwhile, are undeniably in-form after two wins on the trot against West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United. With the wind in their sails, Leicester are 23/20 to make it three victories in a row, or 12/5 to take a vital point.

Nigel Pearson has thrown caution out of the window in his bid to help the Midlands men beat the drop, so the attack-minded Foxes are 7/2 to grab three or more, with recent goal heroes David Nugent and Jamie Vardy 6/1 and 8/1 to net first and last respectively.
