Sponsor opens betting on richest ever Coral Scottish Grand National

| 01.04.2015

The Tony Martin-trained Gallant Oscar heads the sponsor’s betting for the Coral Scottish Grand National at 10-1, in their opening show on the £210,000 Ayr showpiece. Broadway Buffalo, Catching On and Indian Castle are next in the betting at 12-1, with the recent Cheltenham Festival winner Cause Of Causes among the contenders priced at 14-1, while the last two winners of the race, Al Co and Godsmejudge, are both 16-1 for a repeat win.

“The Coral Scottish Grand National is consistently among the top five highest betting turnover races of the year, and although the timing of this year’s race means some of the leading contenders could yet run at either Fairyhouse or Aintree, the record prize fund of £210,000 will ensure a quality field lines up at Ayr once again,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
