McIlroy 11-2 to complete career grand slam with Masters win

Rory McIlroy has been well backed with leading bookmaker Coral to complete the career grand slam this week at Augusta where he is the 11-2 favourite to win his first Green Jacket in the Masters. The Northern Irishman tops the outright betting ahead of defending champion Bubba Watson and Jordan Spieth, who are joint-second favourites at 10-1.

Coral is offering its online and mobile customers a £10 free bet to use in-play if they place £10 or more on the outright market pre-tournament.

“A Rory victory this week would be a very bad result for the bookmakers. He is by far the biggest liability in our outright book and we expect him to be popular in-play if he gets off to a fast start,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Of the Americans, we’ve seen a good spread of money for Phil Mickelson who showed signs of coming back to form in Houston, while Rickie Fowler has been popular each-way to win his first major,” added Hill.
