Huddersfield take on Leeds in Super League, with the Giants 6/4 with Coral to inflict a consecutive defeat on the table toppers.

Danny Brough is looking forward to the match and indicated the whole team cannot wait to get out there: “These are the type of games that can bring the best out of you,” the 32-year-old goal-kicking half-back, who was once again key in the 24-4 triumph at the KC Stadium previously.

“And it’s about time we started doing just that. Everyone knows how good our defence has been, but we still need to perform a lot better than we have been doing,” continued Brough, who is 3/1 in the anytime market, having scored the first last time out.

“If we don’t start cutting out the errors – we’ve been working on getting back to the basics to try and sort that out – we’ll continue to make life really difficult for ourselves.

“You might be able to get away with it on the odd occasion, but you certainly won’t against a side like Leeds, who have always been so good at taking full advantage of their opponents’ errors.

“We know they’ll provide us with a massive challenge, because they’ve got a history of responding positively to defeats [Leeds were beaten 29-10 at home to Warrington last Friday], so we’re looking at this as the game to finally bring the best out of us.

“There’s no reason why it shouldn’t.”

Top-scorer Aaron Murphy, meanwhile, is 11/1 to score first, while Jamie Ellis who collected four points on Humberside, is 11/4 anytime.

For the away side, Brett Delaney, Leeds Aussie forward could return from an ankle injury which has kept him out of the side since the start of the season, and is 4/1 to cross anytime.

Delaney was positive about his return to the squad: “It is slowly coming together. It is a long process,” he said.

“It is a little bit frustrating, but it is getting better every week and I am just trying to contribute to the team. I have started the last couple of games and I am just happy to be back out there really.

“I spent a lot of pre-season in the gym, I didn’t go home (to Australia) this year and it was a long, tough pre-season, so it’s good to be back out on the pitch and enjoying it again.”

Joint-top scorers Danny McGuire and Kallum Watkins are 12/1 and 10/1 to breach the in-goal area first, while Rob Burrow, who is one try behind on six, is decent value with 2/1 anytime odds.
