Coral writers produce our pick of players from the Premier League’s matchweek 32, by carving out a starting XI team of stars that impressed.

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)
Despite the rest of Chelsea’s team being outplayed by a spirited QPR side, Courtois was on top form, and arguably won the blues the game. His super save against Matt Phillips was the pick of the bunch.

Right back: Leandro Bacuna (Aston Villa)
Usual winger Bacuna was played out of position again away to Spurs, but once again thrived in the role, and kept a clean sheet as well as setting up the winner. Villa’s odds for relegation have now lengthened to 10/1.

Centre back: Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa)
Tim Sherwood would have been delighted with his skipper Vlaar too, as the centre back was a commanding presence and a rock at the back for the Villans all day, having to play with two different partners too.

Centre back: Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)
Although the Gunners were up against relegation zone side Burnley, they had a tough game to contend with. Thankfully defender Koscielny was in great form and aerially dominant as he won a number of crucial headers, being a commanding presence in the process.

Left back: Aaron Cresswell (West Ham United)
Rising star Cresswell’s wonderful free-kick alone was enough to get him into this honour roll, and his strike was almost the winner, until Marko Arnautovic netted an injury time equaliser for Stoke City.

Right wing: Ashley Young (Manchester United)
United (2/1 in the outright betting without Chelsea) came into the crunch clash with Manchester City knowing they had lost the previous four derbies, but Young’s match-winning display, with a goal and two assists, made him one of the first names to make this team.

Centre midfield: Joey Barton (QPR)
Barton would have been gutted that the Hoops went away from their match with west London neighbours Chelsea, as he put in a terrific shift to keep QPR on top for much of the game.

Centre midfield: Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United)
The Belgian was brilliant yet again, and his headed goal gave United a 2-1 lead. He certainly upstaged fellow box-to-box player Yaya Toure.

Left wing: Yannick Bolasie (Crystal Palace)
Palace continue to soar up the table, and are now even-money chances to finish in the top 10. Bolasie’s wonderful hat-trick completely destroyed woeful Sunderland.

Striker: Christian Benteke (Aston Villa)
Benteke is another Belgian that is in top form, as the big frontman has scored eight times in his last six games. His goal against Tottenham was vital, and lifts Villa to six points above the drop zone.

Striker: Glen Murray (Crystal Palace)
Murray has been prolific since his return to the Palace team as well, and he helped the Eagles out with a goal and two assists against the Black Cats.
