Coral football writers preview two 3pm Premier League fixtures of the upcoming weekend, as Newcastle United host Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion entertain Liverpool.

Newcastle v Swansea
The Magpies are in dire form of late, having lost their last six in the top flight, and won’t be in high spirits in their next fixture against the Swans, knowing that they haven’t beaten them in their previous five meetings, losing four.

Swansea, who are high-flying this season up in eighth, therefore are tempting 2/1 chances for another victory, or 9/4 to get a draw.

What’s even worse for Newcastle (6/4 favourites), is that they are still without striker Papiss Cisse, who has hit four in as many matches against the Welsh outfit, due to suspension.

Instead they will have to rely on Ayoze Perez, whose goals have totally dried up after having a decent spell earlier in the season. The Spaniard is a 7/4 shout to score for the first time in 14 league games.

Garry Monk will be without his star striker in Bafetimbi Gomis, who is still injured, but can call upon midfielders Jonjo Shelvey (11/4 to net anytime) and Gylfi Sigurdsson (10/3).

West Brom v Liverpool
All focus will be on Jordan Henderson for this fixture, after the midfielder showed his loyalty to Liverpool by signing a new five-year contract.

The potential new Reds skipper was also the scourge of the Baggies in the reverse fixture this term, as he laid on the goal for Adam Lallana, before netting the winner. Henderson is 5/1 to score again anytime, and 12/1 to strike last.

Liverpool are 19/20 odds-on favourites in this match, but West Brom have won three of their last six head-to-heads in the league against the Reds, losing twice, so are decent 3/1 shouts for victory.

Tony Pulis can call upon prolific scorer Saido Berahino for this clash. The Burundi-born striker has 18 goals in all, competitions this term, and was on target earlier this season against the Reds, so back him in the anytime market at 15/8.
