This was a Christmas treat for the neutral, who saw Wigan race out of the blocks and into a 20-2 lead before trailing 25-20. In a pulsating finish, the visitors hit back to win 32-25 with a superb solo effort from Martin Offiah. Check out footage below!

St Helens v Wigan Warriors: Magic Weekend 2012
The Saints just didn’t have an answer for their Wigan counterparts, who were sensational on the day, with the irrepressible Sam Tomkins running the show, scoring two tries in the 42-16 victory. Wigan coach Shaun Wane said after the match:

“Delighted would be an understatement. I like coaching skilful people, and if I can get a skilful person who is tough, that’s even better. Some of the skill in that first 20 minutes was probably our best of the season.”
