Ballydoyle pair head betting for both Guineas

| 27.04.2015

The Aidan O’Brien-trained duo Gleneagles and Found head Coral’s betting for the Qipco 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas respectively at 9-4 and 7-2, following the latest entry stage for the Newmarket Classics.

Switching codes, Djakadam is 5-2 favourite with Coral for Wednesday’s Bibby Financial Services Punchestown Gold Cup, ahead of Don Cossack and Road To Riches at 3-1, while the newly-crowned champion conditional jockey Sean Bowen is 16-1 (from 33-1) for next season’s National Hunt jockeys’ title.

“The last man to win the National Hunt jockeys’ title did so the season after he was crowned champion conditional, and although it may expecting rather too much for Sean Bowen to emulate a certain AP McCoy, there are punters who believe it will be another big twelve months for the young Welshman,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
