Mandzukic and Giroud a fantastic 5/1 to score anytime with Coral!
To make the week go that little bit quicker, Coral have a fabulous 5/1 anytime scorer special featuring Olivier Giroud and Mario Mandzukic, as the Champions League takes centre stage once again.
Since Arsenal last played Monaco, centre forward Giroud has dispatched in every Premier League game; a statistic which equates to three in three.
The 28-year-old is confident that his side can turn their 3-1 deficit around is convinced they will continue right until the last second: “We can go there and create something special. We will have the desire to do it and give absolutely everything to do it.”
Having been heavily criticised for spurning a number of chances at the Emirates, Giroud responded brilliantly in the matches that followed; something he is hoping to take with him into the second leg.
“There are always tough moments like that [first leg] because we do a hard job. If you let the doubts enter your head it’s even more difficult to cope. You have to question yourself every week and bounce back. I try to show my answer on the pitch with my mentality. It was nice to do it against West Ham [United last time out, in which he scored].
“I try to bounce back as quick as I can and it’s true the boss gave me a chance to do it against Everton last week. I try to do it straight away,” Giroud continued, who is 7/4 to strike anytime.
“Football is a sport where you need to have a strong mentality because you have to face some difficulties. It’s like life. Even when you play well and score a lot of goals, if you miss some game everything is forgotten.
“You have to have a conscience about it and be aware. Don’t believe the people who talk too much about football.”
Mandzukic will also be hoping to get on the scoresheet as Atletico Madrid look to overturn a 1-0 result from their first leg with Bayer Leverkusen. The Croatian striker has an impressive record in the Champions League, having dispatched five in seven appearances, and is evens to strike anytime in the Vicente Calderon.
