Five potential Premier League debutants this weekend

| 06.02.2015

Coral list five players who could make their debuts this weekend, following a late flurry of transfer activity in the winter window. We have a look at how each player could perform as they attempt to impress in their new surroundings.

Juan Cuadrado
Arguably the signing of the window, Chelsea’s new Colombian could feature for the Blues away against Aston Villa, who lost 5-0 to Arsenal last time out. Winger Cuadrado is 12/5 to net anytime, and will relish coming up against a defence that is leaking goals recently.

Dame N’Doye
Hull’s new Senegalese striker N’Doye could well make his debut against Manchester City at the Etihad, and is 5/1 to net anytime. The 29-year-old scored 27 goals in 66 games for Lokomotiv Moscow and Tigers boss Steve Bruce is looking forward to seeing him in action.

“He will undoubtedly strengthen our squad and add a significant goal threat,” said Bruce. “I’m delighted to have completed the signing of Dame and I’m looking forward to seeing him in action for us.”

Gabriel Paulista
Arsenal’s Brazilian defender is yet to make his debut, and Arsene Wenger may give him some playing time in the north London derby against Spurs, if the Gunners are comfortably winning. Ex-Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was quoted as saying that Wenger had signed a “special player” in Paulista, and he is certainly one for the future.

Shola Ameobi
New Crystal Palace signing Ameobi will bring experience to Alan Pardew’s side, and his hold-up play in the final third could be a useful weapon in the Eagles’ bid to stay in the Premier League. The 33-year-old Nigeria target man is 11/4 to net anytime against Leicester City.

Filip Djuricic
Southampton’s Serbian winger, who was signed on transfer deadline day on loan from Benfica, was highly rated as a teenager, though has never realised his full potential. Nevertheless, he still has talent, and under Ronald Koeman’s tutelage, he could blossom.

Likely to feature against QPR, 23-year-old Djuricic is 11/4 to net anytime and will take confidence from compatriot Dusan Tadic, who has flourished since moving to St Mary’s in the summer.
