Which of these five strikers could Tottenham sign in January?

It is no secret that Spurs, 16/1 to win the Europa League this season; a decent value bet, if you tick the each way box, with Coral paying out on two places, are in the market for a striker.

They have climbed to fifth place in the Premier League after a good run of form, which has seen them take a point off Manchester United and three off Chelsea, and there is no reason why they can’t push on.

Mauricio Pochettino seems to have got his team playing the way he wants, though, with Harry Kane the only striker that seems to be scoring, another striker would be useful if Spurs are to challenge on more than one front.

As a result, Coral suggest five forwards who could move to White Hart Lane in January to maintain the club’s ambitions for the season.

Danny Ings
It is reported that Pochettino is prepared to make a bid for the Burnley striker, though he doesn’t think that the club will sell with Ings out of contract in the summer. The 22-year-old has scored five crucial Clarets goals this season, after recovering from injury and a move to Tottenham would be attractive for him.

Charlie Austin
Should QPR receive any bids for the prolific 25-year-old striker, they will play hardball over the fee. Former Burnley striker Austin has netted 12 goals this season and would fit in effortlessly at Spurs.

Saido Berahino
Said to be the subject of much transfer speculation with both Spurs and Liverpool linked, however, new West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has told the striker to keep his head down and fire the Baggies to safety. Pairing him with Kane could prove to be the future for England, with both strikers already playing together at Under-21 level.

Christian Benteke
Aston Villa’s Belgian forward has just returned from injury, and is already finding the net. He would likely replace either Emmanuel Adebayor or Roberto Soldado in the Spurs squad, though there is no doubt Benteke, who could expect better service at White Hart Lane, would have the desired effect.

James Wilson
A talent that Manchester United seem to value highly. The 19-year-old bagged a brace on his debut against Hull City last term, though may not be content behind Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and, if they sign him permanently, Radamel Falcao in the pecking order. It is likely Wilson would share responsibility with just Kane at White Hart Lane.
