Kirby Calls It: All Weather champion previews today’s rides at Lingfield

| 17.01.2015

Im back at Linfield today and below i run through my four rides for Mr Appleby and Jamie Osborne

1:25 Lingfield
I ride Emirates Skycargo for Mr Appleby in this one. I was second on him a week ago at Wolverhampton. He was still a bit green. He ran well though but just met one too good on the day. He’s one that’s open to a little bit of improvement and hopefully that improvement will come on Saturday. He’s probably my best chance of a winner on Saturday.

I ‘m aboard another one for Mr Appleby here, I ride History Book. I rode him two starts back when he was second at Lingfield. He filled the same spot a week ago at Kempton and I just think he could be at the top of his handicap. But if he gets the run of the race, he’ll go there with a chance but everything needs to go to plan.

I’m on The Dandy Yank for Jamie Osborne. I rode the horse on his last start at Bath in September. He ran half respectable on that occasion. But for me he’ll need to bounce back to form to be in the shake-up. It looks a tricky enough heat but he’s got an okay draw and has won around Lingfield which always helps so let’s hope he runs his race.

My last ride of the day is again for Jamie Osborne. I ride Light Of The World. It’s going to be his second run in a handicap. He’s upped in trip and hopefully there’s further improvement to come. I don’t know too much about him but he’s well-bred and I’m hoping he’ll be in the shake-up.
