Coral are offering intriguing odds of 3/1 for a British player to steal the headlines and score in the 2015 Champions League final.

Tabloids have been chock full of stories about the lack of English, and also British, players representing the home nations in the Champions League this term.

However, those who are excelling for elite sides have become vital cogs for main contenders such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Here’s who we think could be a bright star in Berlin and put British talent back on the map by grabbing a goal on the final of the biggest stage in club football.

Gareth Bale
The Welsh wing wizard is probably Britain’s best chance of being on target in Berlin, having been instrumental in Los Blancos lifting La Decima last season.

Brilliant Bale scored to put Real ahead of city rivals Atletico for the first time in the 2014 final and also grabbed the winner in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona.

The 25-year-old has continued his record of scoring at crucial times this campaign, netting to ensure Los Blancos lifted the Club World Cup.

Having racked up 33 goals in 66 games across all competitions for Madrid, back Bale to help his fellow Galacticos, who are 11/4 second favourites to retain their European crown.

Aaron Ramsey
Arsenal midfielder Ramsey was a goal hero against Galatasaray with a sublime volley to add to his collection of sensational strikes.

The Welshman with the wicked shot also has a taste for being on target in finals, having grabbed the winning goal in the Gunners’ FA Cup clash with Hull City last season.

Rampant Ramsey has all the tools to follow in compatriot Bale’s footsteps and take his performances up a notch if Arsenal (22/1 to win the Champions League) make the final.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
‘The Ox’ has been progressing slowly but surely since his switch from boyhood club Southampton to Arsenal. Now 21, the relentless and determined attacker has developed into a strong and skillful player.

Exciting Oxlade-Chamberlain has been increasingly chipping in with decisive goals, assists and moments of magic for both club and country.

Gunners fans will be hoping this is the season when the fleet-footed starlet really shines and shows Europe what he is made of.

James Milner
Should City set up camp in Berlin come the end of May, versatile and hardworking Milner could very well be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Manuel Pellegrini seems to value the Englishman’s tactical nous and ability to read the game in a Sky Blues squad full of superstars.

How fitting it would be for underrated Milner, whose contract runs out this summer, to sign off in style by graduating from supporting act to Champions League final goal scorer.

John Terry
As Chelsea skipper Terry approaches the twilight of his career, one moment in particular must rankle: Moscow 2008.

Although the Blues captain has since lifted Europe’s top prize (despite being suspended for the 2012 final), what better way to potentially go out in glory than to make amends for his infamous Moscow penalty slip?

Always a leader when it counts, Terry has shown an aptitude for scoring goals this season, grabbing four, including two in five Champions League appearances.
