Costa and Kane to be good citizens in 3/1 anytime scorer special

| 10.01.2015

Following an intermission for the third round of the FA Cup, the Premier League is back and as a result, Coral have a sensational scorer special, featuring Diego Costa and Harry Kane to score anytime at a thrilling 3/1 price.

Chelsea take on Newcastle at Stamford Bridge, where Costa carries an individual odds-on price of 4/7 to score anytime, and after netting in his last Premier League match against Spurs. That goal took him level with Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero as top scorer on 14 goals so, with the Argentine injured, Costa has the opportunity to get out in front.

With Eden Hazard, Willian, Oscar and Cesc Fabregas supplying the Brazilian-born Spain centre forward, chances are likely to be plentiful and Costa will relish these. Newcastle have conceded nine goals in their last four fixtures and are still without a permanent manager after Alan Pardew joined Crystal Palace.

The Magpies are also depleted in defence with first-choice centre back pairing Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor injured, as well as right back Daryl Janmaat. In addition, they are also without goalkeepers Tim Krul and Rob Eliot. Costa won’t get a better chance to score against Newcastle here, with the support of what is likely to be a full to capacity Stamford Bridge.

Kane, meanwhile, is on a hot streak right now, having bagged a brace last time out in the Premier League and has taken his tally up to 16 in all competitions this season for Spurs. He will travel the short distance across London to Crystal Palace, and is a 6/5 anytime scorer chance individually. In a vote of confidence to himself, he has sensationally picked himself in his own Premier League fantasy football team, and has recently earned praise from England boss Roy Hodgson.

“We have watched [Kane] for a while and I worked with him briefly in the Under-21s when I filled in for one game,” Hodgson said.

“Harry has come on in leaps and bounds and I’m not surprised because I know [the former coaches] Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand very well. They have worked with him at Tottenham and they always believed in him as a goalscorer.”
