Aston Villa v Sunderland – Home win
Villa have struggled a lot this season, especially since Roy Keane departed. However, expect them to grab a victory at Villa Park, having beaten the Black Cats in three of the last four meetings.

Hull v Leicester – Home win
Steve Bruce’s side have been in horrendous form lately, but may have turned a corner by beating Sunderland, and should thus deal with fellow strugglers Leicester and steal three points. Nigel Pearson’s side are rock bottom of the league and show no signs of moving.

Man City v Burnley – Home win
Manuel Pellegrini’s men are flying high and edging closer to Chelsea at the summit. Burnley don’t stand much of a chance against the title contenders who thrashed them 6-1 in their previous head-to-head.

QPR v Crystal Palace – Home win
The Hoops have not been defeated by Palace in any of their last six clashes, and hold the head-to-head record with 33 league victories over the Eagles. Harry Redknapp’s men have been impressive at Loftus Road recently and have not lost on home turf in their last five games.

Stoke City v West Brom – Home win
The Baggies have only managed to beat Stoke once in their last 15 attempts, so the Potters should be able to stifle their visitors at the Britannia Stadium after causing Chelsea significant problems last time out.

West Ham v Arsenal – Away win
The Gunners have won six of their past eight games across all competitions, and should have too much quality for Big Sam’s side. Arsenal did the double over the Hammers last term and will be expecting to extend their 13-game unbeaten run against the Upton Park outfit.

Blackburn v Middlesbrough – Draw
Striker Jordan Rhodes will be hoping he can help Rovers to secure all three points, as high-flying Middlesbrough visit. The home side sit just outside of the top six, while Boro are challenging for automatic promotion. With very little separating the two outfits, a draw looks likely.

Cardiff v Watford – Draw
The Hornets will have their eye on an automatic promotion place, as they visit the Bluebirds, who beat them 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Vicarage Road. They have since lost to the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford and Wolves, though will be looking to secure all three points going into the New Year.

Huddersfield v Bolton – Away win
Veterans Emile Heskey and Eidur Gudjohnsen could well be rolling back the years for Bolton and may start up front after signing short-term deals. The visitors are enjoying a revival under Neil Lennon and beat the Terriers 1-0 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Reading v Norwich – Away win
The Canaries will be out to avenge a Royals upset from the end of November here. Having hit Millwall for six and put five past Huddersfield recently, Norwich should run riot at Reading.

Wolves v Brentford – Draw
As the Bees have lost three of their last four and Wanderers forwards Nouha Dicko and Bakary Sako have one eye on representing Mali at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, a share of the spoils looks likely.

Inverness v Aberdeen – Away win
Derek McInnes’ Dons look good for three points here as they have been victorious in their last three league outings on the road. Inverness have won just one Scottish Premiership match in more than a month, so back the visitors.

Newcastle v Everton – Draw
The Toffees have won their last three matches against the Toon, but are in shaky form of late. Take a punt at a draw at St James’ Park.

Liverpool v Swansea – Home win
The Reds have not lost to Swansea in their last five matches in all competitions, and won this season against them in the Capital One Cup. Liverpool are struggling for form, but back them to beat the Swans again.

Fulham v Brighton – Home win
West London outfit Fulham are undefeated against Brighton in their last seven games in all competitions, including beating them away in the Championship this season. The Seagulls are without a win in their last six this campaign.
